Coming back to Joan, we can assume several things 1) She is dead in the 'real' world (although I agree the distinction of real and dream is, at best unimportant) 2) She is dead in the Land (getting the Krill in your lungs would wreck anybodies day) 3) There is some power leakage between the worlds (...

I reckon he (Roger) was also at the community of retribution and the 'demonic' frenzy passed to him including council from all the malicious powers that there are out in the Land, probably in much the same way as Jeremiah described it. IMHO, both R and J were ensnared and manipulated to bring LA bac...

And he pays for that distrust later as he sends his friends in his place and they die, leading to the plan to unleash the ROD. I think that it is unlightly that Bannor was the assigned bloodgaurd to A-Jeroth, look at the Haruci's treatment of Cail, he failed through no fault of his own and was banis...

IMHO when the Kempers pitch collapsed it took its contents with it. Quite possible it was bound to Kasreyn's existence in the same way underworld was to the Lady in the Green Kirdle in C.S. Lewis's 'The Silver Chair' and Mordor in LOTR

Interesting, but i'm not sure how effective that would be. It is widly known thet at this time they only knew six of the words. IMHO the seventh would be required to fully unlock the power of the white gold and use it safely in conjunction with the staff

This topic is not that far removed from the plot of the book LA was given the first day she started in that town/village/hamlet. The guilty try to expunge their guilt through actions. If TC had not been so driven to personify leprosy by his neighbors the man in the ocher robe (the creator) would, po...

LF was just weakened before LFB, not trapped (except by the arch).

RC's 'plan' to encase LF in 'temporal ice' and Jeremiah's constructs are totally different to the incapacitation by the RoD.

However, the Land is a place where these things might work.

Haruchi vs. Ramen

Both are races that are have deep connections with/love for the land. Both races have exceptionally long racial memories and neither are afraid to voice their grievances. The Haruchi respect the Ramen. (Stave's compromising with them, {RoTE}, the masters bowing to their will/demands). IMHO, the Rame...

Book endings

All of the book endings of the FC seem devoid of light and happiness. (Yes, even TPTP. He's going to survive so he smile, not the warm friendly, he invited his guests in of other books).

Taking the last paragraph or so, Which book ends nicest?

The key to Melenkurion Abatha and the Power of Command Shoot me with a big gun if i'm wrong here, but those are words . The mountain under which the earthblood is found in Melenkurion Skywier . I agree that any ploy LF enacted to gain access to the POC would likely backfired catastrophically on him.

He (Kevin) was commanded to rise and defeat Fangthane. However Elena's failure to understand that Kevin dead did not make him more powerful. LF was able to override the POC and send Kevin back to kill Elena, probably due to the fact that LF is outside the scope of the POC, (remember Amok's warning)....
