Kevin seemed to know, intuitively, that his sheer might could NOT defeat the Despiser. The RoD was his last resort.

Setting aside anything that may or may not have been mentioned in the Last Chronicles, I do not believe there is anything in the First or Second Chronicles that points to Caerroil Wildwood having any role in the design of the Staff of Law. It was fashioned by Berek, was it not? Do we know of any oc...

When Covenant travelled through Trothgard his hurtloam enhanced awareness helped him to see how the new council of Lords had found a worthy way to spend their lives. Stricken Stone was all but effaced, green with healing like healthy new flesh over ancient wounds. Very few of the trees showed that ...

Add to the evidence file that the Staff of Law was found in the mountain, where Kevin would have lost it. Foul did not want to touch or wield it, as it was not something suited to his powers. Doubtful HE put it there for Drool to find. Of course - reverse psychology! Very clever, Bikebryan. Thanks ...

They will come to Kiril Threndor, and I will teach them things to darken their souls. It is fitting. There Kevin met and dared me in his despair. And I accepted. The fool! I could hardly speak the words for laughing.... Together we stood in Kiril Threndor, blind Kevin and I. Together we uttered the...

Huh? Where has it been written that Elemesnedene and the island of the one tree had moved since Berek's time?

Is it just me, or is there a rather large clustering of Wards being found in the North East of the map? Aside from the 7th Ward, they all were either found, located, or originated there. If the 7th Ward was really a bum steer, a missed opportunity to use Damelon's Door (didn't dead Kevin slam it sh...

Erring on the side of caution, CH, but you are technically correct. I just like to encourage folks to read...so we have new participants in the dissection and quiz threads. bikebryan has it right, as passages in Fatal Revenant and The Last Dark make clear. The comments I was primarily thi...

I would have to take exception to that last assertion, but to explain why would involve Last Chronicles spoilers. RAFO! I'll just flat out say this - The Forestal cared NOTHING of Lords and their power (thus the Staff of Law would be nothing to him). It was too recent for them to pay attention to. ...

Sorry SD, that's incomplete. Actually, the lightning motif worn by Triock is a family crest, like the pattern of white flowers on the garments of Lena, Trell and Atiaran. He has this on his clothes even when we first meet him in LFB, when he is a simple cowherd, before his training at Revelwood. Tr...

Jeremiah tells Stave he can give him the location of the remaining Wards. What you quoted is the only thing that makes sense in regards to their locations. Except that Jeremiah's conversation with Stave occurred after he, Linden and Covenant had reassembled the world, so it is quite plausible to su...

It was never said where the third ward was found. I think it pretty obvious they were not "given" to other races in that world. The Third Ward was placed in Revelstone (The Wounded Land) by whomever made Ridjeck Thome. I'm betting the Viles were the makers of that place. Again, huh? In TW...

I thought it was logical. Kevin expelled the races of the Land before enacting the Ritual of Desicration. If the Giants were given the First Ward then its logical that the other races were also given Wards. Perhaps you misunderstand the nature of the First Ward. Huh? The second ward was in a projec...

Do we know if the Unhomed received the gift of tongues? There is no explicit text-evidence/timeline. There are extractable/implicit reasons to think they would have...but they are loose, and entirely in spoiler territory. The only known thing that I recall without re-searching/reading from the firs...

Your timeline is WAY off. No Haruchai EVER meant KA until long after the first chronicles.....They did however encounter the Vizard and were TOLD of KA, but KA was already out of the picture then. Hah! Ooops...I conflated two different ones. OTOH, that makes my point more likely, that the Har. woul...

The third ward was found before the Clave - it was never stated where it was found or what it contained.

The Raver's memories showed Jeremiah the unaccounted wards, and their locations, at the end of The Last Dark.
