"I've just received the good news from my editor. She describes my work on "The Killing God" as "heroic," "marvelous," and "very satisfying." (I swear I'm not making this up.) Berkley plans to publish in November '22. In audio (I assume), digital, and har...

"At long last, TKG is back in the hands of my editor. My agent is very happy with the new version. He made some useful suggestions (which, fortunately, required only a little extra work) and helped me clean up the text (typos, missing words, that sort of thing). Now my fate depends on whether t...

I really hope this ends with the book's publication, but for now, I'm just glad I haven't started the series yet (purchased, but not read) and I doubt I'll ever start another series until it's complete. Does that mean that you too are waiting for Walk in Shadow and feeling burned? I’m not an Ericks...

To each their own. I read Seventh Decimate when it came out and (as is typical for me with first volumes of SRD series) wondered where he was going. Still, "Trust SRD" has been a mantra for decades. The War Within completely vindicated my patient faith. The characters met in the first boo...

Hopefully this hasn't been posted elsewhere. I ran across this academic analysis of The Gap Cycle: Ruined Skin: Gothic Genetics and Human Identity in Stephen Donaldson's Gap Cycle, by Emily Adler, published in Gothic Science Fiction 1980-2010, edited by Sara Wasson & Emily Adler. From belphegor....

Thanks to all for the thoughtful replies. I've started the first Malazan book. Boy, this author just drops you right into the cauldron, doesn't he? i'm fairly confused, but trust that I will achieve clarity through perseverance.

I too would appreciate any recommendations for a Gap-lover. I don't expect anything to stand up to these books, but a...

My local bookseller, who must not be named, wasn't concerned about the official street date and sold TLD to me today! I'm a busy person and I don't read all that quickly, but I'm going to start it tonight! I haven't been this excited for a book in a very long time.

I guess this an academic exercise at this point, but my casting picks are:

Nick: Javier Bardem
Morn: Charlize Theron
Angus: I agree with the poster who said Michael Chiklis
