Upon locking the Elohim in a box, Jeremiah faces the Worm who then demands: Worm:All right, where are the Elohim? Jeremiah: They're not in this box! W: Oh-ho! So they're in that box! Jeremiah:If they were in this box, would I do this? (Sticks swords in it) W:You might, you might. Jeremiah: Well, wh...

You guys keep assuming the Land has to be a product of Covenant's imagination or real. There are other possibilities. It could be a combination, it could be Linden's dream, it could be ether, who knows? 8) I don't know if I would find any of the answers relating to someone's imagination acceptable ...

...lots of stuff... zmulls, I found myself nodding my head as I was reading your review. I tend to agree with most of your assessment. The power levels in this book have definitely ramped up, and it's clear that everyone's personal power limitations relating to their psychological state will probab...

On the other hand, I've had some fun on this forum predicting how the story will go in terms I would personally enjoy the most. It has gone quite the opposite way, but it's still salvageable as will be revealed in TLD: 1. When Jeremiah's mind awakened he faked being happy to see his mom; he's going...

I am transfixed by the immanent destruction of that which I love, and am thusly interested in the actions of those who attempt to preserve it, no matter how futile. I read elsewhere on the forums that it was SRD's intent to not let anyone else write books with the Land as the setting, so I figured ...

Roger could have threatened to punch Linden in her vagina I predict this will happen in TLD. I was just about to add this to my list of "Official Predictions", when I realized that the moment the attempt was made, Stave would jump in front and take one for the team. I think he has to lose...

Therefore, when she finally decides she has absolutely no other choice but to get her hands dirty and act, it's too late because Jeremiah is safe within his shelter of bones. I think you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. And I guess you throw in the fact that the Elohim are running for their...

Power has a direct relation with need/desire/commitment, and hardly anyone is better at that than the Haruchai... It wasn't so much what Stave did or questioning the desire of the Haruchai, but more of the whole situation. In the past, I've understood why the Elohim didn't exert their power, becaus...

Why not get the Butter Men to join in as well! :D Yeah, I'm kind of wondering what the role of the Haruchai will be. Seems like it was a major concern to sway them when Covenant spoke through Anele and told the Ramen that it was up to them to convince the Haruchai. We've seen that the Haruchai can ...

I predict we're gonna see it up-close, and personal. If that's the case, and the Land is toast as a lot of people are predicting, this is going to be one really interesting last book. There are so many threads to tie up, it seems like it's going to be a wild ride. Just off the top of my head: - Kas...

I was a little taken aback after reading the first few chapters and finding out that the Worm was a real entity. Guess I shouldn't have been as shocked as I was, especially with the events of TOT, and the sinking of the Isle of the One Tree. Even with all of that, I had always assumed that the Worm ...

Wasn't Joan the summoner? As she's dead, Linden would have gone back if she were still alive surely? If I was reading AATE right, Covenant's part of the story at the end was taking place at the same time as the end of Linden's story, so we don't know if Linden is still in the Land. I can't imagine ...

I wish that AATE had said something more about what croyel are and why there's only ever been 2 of them seen. I also wish that something new had been said about why skurj appeared and why Kastenessen had fallen in love with a mortal woman- that's quite weird for an elohim. I'm thinking that we'll g...

<t>I've always had my own theory, and a lot of what happened in the Last Chrons. sort of shot down my thoughts on the "shadow" of the Elohim. <br/> <br/> I always assumed that because they are basically Earthpower incarnate, that anything that happens to the Earth, essentially affects them. So all o...

Those are my feelings as well. Maybe ending on a positive note by having the Creator offer Linden, Thomas, and Jeremiah some sort of caretaker role for one or more of his other creations, but the Land will be gone (but not forgotten).

Given that I've read elsewhere in the forums that Donaldson (wisely, I might add) doesn't want anyone else writing Covenant stories in the future, I can only predict gloom and doom for The Land. In no particular order (even though the list is ordered): 1. Longwrath has to battle Sandgorgons, even th...
