Also Linded should have been able to detect if he were controlled by Lord Foul once the Staff of Law was back in her possession.

Seeing how this new series of halfhands it could be a number of people. TC, Jeremiah, The Humbled, and possibly a character that has not been introduced yet.

Its not that Lindeen is taking Esmer's word at face value, when she tried to access the White Gold when the Skurg attacked she had no idea Esmer was there. She got quesy and then he appeared blocking her from using the wild magic. Then she saw what Liand was doing with the staff and grabbed that and...

Lord Foul used Wild Magic at the end of White Gold Wielder. He blasted Covenant as he was guarding the Arch.

Linden was always uncomfortable using Wild Magic, she felt as if she was possesing Covenant to use it. In Runes, she also did not like to use it, she knew the ring was Covenant's and preferred to use the Staff of Law, which she was the only one in the 2nd Chronicles that had Health Sense.

Despite and Creation have to exist together. They cannot stand alone. Therefor foul can never be completely destroyed wthout destroying the Land.

Another reason she wanted the staff was she felt more natural wielding it.. Even though she knew how to use the White Gold, she always felt the ring was Covenant's, and she preferred the staff.

Diseases that cause loss of feeling in the extremities such as leprosy and diabetes can cause impotency. In the first series, the attention that Lena was giving him, caused him to get a little excited and the shock of that along with his feelings of the story about the wedding gifts, he went crazy a...

Plus the fact that Covenant really did want to believe the Land was real must have made his decions even harder, but the leprosy kept him focused. In hindsight some of his bargains really came back to haunt him, Atarian buring trying to summon him, the death of Elena and Lena. Covenant's actions in ...

In the 1st and 2nd Chronicles it was always stated that the Creator could not directly involve himself in matters in the Land. He was able to choose Covenant and Linden, but that was pretty much his involvement.

One key element that Foul didn't know that Covenant was the WHite Gold. Oh sure when Foul was blasting Covenant with the ring, it hurt real bad, but no actual harm was caused to the Arch of Time

Possibly one of the reasons for Linden's use of profanity is the times. People use more profanity these days then 20 years ago, and Donaldson might have tried to use that in Runes.

You guys are missing the whole point of the paradox of the White Gold. Without his unbelief, and sometimes rude and stupid behavior, he could not have done what he did to protect the Arch of Time from Foul. Remember Covenant is the White Gold, so he in himself is a paradox, constantly contradicting ...

I think Linden will hold on to the staff until Anele is ready and able to accept it. At the moment Anele's sanity is not too stable and the fact the Foul can possess Anele at will, would make Linden a little nervous about handing over the Staff of Law. As far as the White Gold Ring, Mhoram told Cove...
