Lumikant stated what I think might be an essential truth which I will attempt to expound upon. And I will finish it with a question of my own. The sunbane warped all creatures that were not protected by stone when the sun arose. The kresh, being a wily race of 'superwolves' would still have been aff...

That would be interesting, the kresh were used to make a stew in TPTP. It would have been fun trying to turn them into herd animals.

This is a land that at its' core has a wealth of heros. Everybody is a hero in their own regard, at least in the first chrons. I think that what this particular 'critic' might have been implying is the fact that there is not one single person who is such an overwhelming hero that they stand out abov...

It would be one of the rare times that I would step inside a theater. If such a project was under consideration, I believe that someone would have heard about it and reported it on this forum at sometime. After all, in the movie industry secrets are pretty darned hard to keep.

I can't choose!! they are both so well written that there is no way that I can choose between one or the other. As far as I am concerned, they are just parts of the same. Each of them has good points, as well as bad. And it just depends on what you are in the mood for at a given point in time. Danlo...

Caamora, I believe that our world would be destroyed as well. If not immediately from the snapping of the AoT, then over a very short period of time when LF hits town. He would definitely want to see to it that the world that had produced his personal nemesis would be destroyed so as to not have any...

Fightingmyinstincts brought up the point that Berek just knew of the white gold. I think that is very probable from the standpoint of earth power. What I mean by that is he probably was taught that in his search for lore from the earth itself. The knowledge was there, for whoever could read it. But ...

What I mean is regaining the feelings in his fingers and toes. That did not come until after he had been treated with the hurtloam. At least I didn't see any reference to it having come back until after. This was in reply to a posting of aliantha from two postings ago. They had stated that TC had tr...

I just finished rereading the 1st and 2nd chrons., and I did not see anywhere that TC was regaining his sensory input anyplace. :? At least until the hurtloam was applied. Where is that mentioned?

It almost sounds as if SRD was trying to describe the odor that you run into when you go into a funeral chapel. It is such an extremely strong odor of flowers that it is not pleasant at all.

Here is another good question regarding the Bloodguard and Haruchai for everyone to consider. What are they going to be doing in the 3rd chrons? TC talked to them to swear themselves to Revelstone, so just where will that lead? To be the supreme guards of the keep, or possibly they will start to bec...

I think that it had something to do with the way she was before she finally gained her balance at the end of WGW. Before she achieved her balance in the land, she was full of death psychologically. She felt that death was the answer to Sunders' predicament with his mother if you remember. She felt t...

Here's another thing to think about. TC did not invoke the RoD, but because LF did twist the law of the land around as badly as he did between the 1st and 2nd chrons., it might twist him somewhat. He is stuck in the land now for all of eternity. And it was stated in TWL that the law was pretty much ...

FMI, there is one small point that I want to bring up. LF might not have taken anybody's soul over to the land, but he did corrupt at least a dozen souls in our world. 1st book, 2nd chrons., TWL, when he subverted all of those loonies to summon him to our realm. I agree that they might have started ...

But the question is just how much of an impurity? I think that it takes about a 50/50 mixture of gold with platinum to make white gold. But then again, has anybody seen platinum mentioned?

The boots themselves didn't hurt him, though. But they sure painted a great big neon bullseye on him, along with a sign that said "Here I am".
