On Saturday I sent an email to Audible.uk asking whether the Scott Brick narrations of SRD's book were, or would be in the future, available on their site. Surprisingly I received a reply on the same day! Apparently they may become available in the future and I was given a link to request a book tha...

Thanks Wayfriend. I've investigated the link and signed in to Amazon but it seems I have to subscribe to the US version as well as the UK one. I've actually got the abridged Runes audible book. I'll wait and see if they become available on Audible Uk.

Iolanthe, that book sounds fabulous!
Thanks Fist. My cousin Peter is very pleased with his 4 copies (he has 3 sons). Peter is 17 years older than me and actually lived next door to our grandfather for all his life until he joined the RAF, so I'm particularly pleased with his reaction.

I subscribe to Audible. Just searched for The Wounded Land - it's not there!!! Is there a US version of Audible that is different from the UK version? It's so frustrating not being able to get the audible versions of the Covenant novels. Strange, I just found Seventh Decimate on Audible, narrated by...

I look forward to the updated forum and hope that my fragile brain will be able to cope with it better than my attempt at using Discord! I've given up downloading updates on several programs that I use as they get more and more complicated and always come before I've got my head round the previous v...

A bit late, but Happy New Year everyone on the Watch. Over Christmas I re-read all the Covenant books. Consequently I couldn't knit anything with a pattern (as I can't get the audio versions) so had to make hats and easy stuff. Gave about 30 hats to the St Barnabus charity shop in the end. St Barnab...

Ordered my copy yesterday. Finished "The War Within" last night as I couldn't remember the back story. Perhaps I will still be able to remember the first two books when "The Killing God" arrives. :?

i had to look up "GOP" not knowing what it meant - Grand Old Party! Reminds me of Gladstone who was GOM "Grand Old Man" until (I think off the top of my head) the War in Sudan when he became MOG - "Murderer of Gordon". Something I've remembered from my school history le...

Feeling much better today, thanks for the kind words. I had a big shock last night. I had to contact the daughter in law of my cousin Pam who I messaged via the FB page of said cousin's brother. When she replied she told me that Pam and her husband, Tony, both died last year!! And no-one told us. I'...

I agree with everything you've said above, Peter. I'm embarrassed to confess that we will benefit from the interest rise as we have no mortgage or any other loans but we do have a little bit in the bank that will now gain more interest. I suspect though that C will pay more tax on his work pension. ...

I've not been watching the tv news for a few days now and have been relying on reading your posts, Peter, to catch up. However your first sentence in the last post leaves me very confused. I did hear on the radio news about Matt Hancock but Prince Charles? What on earth is going on there. On second ...

Bruised! Yesterday I fell down the last four stairs and landed next to the front door. I banged my head and skinned my left elbow. The lump on my head has mainly gone but is still sore when touched. That's the second lump this week. The other day I bent down to pick up one of the dog's toys and bang...

That Dymoke thing sounds excellent! If I knew that was going to happen, I might actually watch it! Can't imagine why they wouldn't still ride in on a horse. Interesting tradition Fist. (Say, couldn't the King dissolve Parliament if the public demand an election? I seem to remember the monarch holds that power?) --A No, Av, the King can't do that. What a sorry mess we are in. I did enjoy the debate yesterday when Starmer asked the urgent question and Penny Mordaunt was made to rep...

I haven't read The Cursed Child, Stevie, but I've read all the books and often watch the films which I have on DVD. I too was disappointed with the film of the last book. They missed out most of the family history stuff :-). I will now have to get the audio books as Stephen Fry must be amazing. By t...
