Innocence lost is one "the" themes of literature, art and life. I think the process and the events that lead to the inevitable loss of innocence is the story of our lives, our society, history well just about everything really. It is closely linked to the gradual erosion of idealism. We al...

A berk. Well I did find him irritating but hey any love triangle does that to a man I would argue. Well and to be the only guy in the history of the land who goes around wearing sunnies reeks of pretension. He probably just wore them so he could perve on all the good lookin' babes in armour that wer...

I read both chronicles again over the past month. That is 30 days for 6 books. It was a journey that I had to complete. Moments that stick with me are the Kresh and the soft ones linking up with Foamfollowers legacy. A brilliant touch by Donaldson. Vain just gets better. What an enigma. Findail howe...

The list is awesome. I am starting a reread of the first chronicles. I noticed in my reading of the second chronicles a remarkable drop off of words in WGW. I think the hunting is far better previous to the last. Landwaster again I commend you for taking up the bat and running with it. An awesome re...

Talking books can be a great way to just sit back and mellow out.
Or put them on in the car.
A recorded version of the chronicles is way overdue.

Sure reading it yourself is great but hey it would be nice to have a choice and I am sure they would sell.
But is would obviously be a massive undertaking.

I think the fertile sun is the most evil sun of all. The pestilence with insects and infection would seem to be the most evil. But that fertile sun and the insane growth that it produces is surely the most manipulative of the sunbane.

In regards to preterite again. Pynchon definitely uses it as a noun to describe the people of society that have been passed over. "The preterite" Chcek out the Pynchon website on Spermitikos Logos for some very interesting stuff. Pynchon should be a necessary read for all you Donaldson fan...
