Congrats!
Hi folks. When I was 15, I joined this site to post an angry rant about the first book. Stuck around for a bit, then disappeared and haven't been back for over 10 years. But I recently saw the newsletter announcing the forum's anniversary and thought I'd drop by to give my kudos. So a big congratula...

I never read the book, but from what I saw in the series, it was the most cliche/stereotypical thing ever. The acting was alright, but the script was gawdawful *as was the story* Well, the story in it's entirety might have been good *I only saw 1hour of the series* but all the little plot elements i...

I would recommend either signing up on Netflix.com and watching the whole thing or even buy episodes. If you like Farscape from the distance, having taken glimpses of it's butchered footage as shown on Sci-Fi, you will hug the full DVD version until you'll grow blue :) Farscape is by far the best TV...

Ignoring a few cliche moments (Dargo's death and the very end of the movie) , The Peacekeeper Wars was everything I had hoped it to be, indeed! What a brilliant piece of work, and I hope that Brian Henson will have another go with Farscape in the future, seeing as how a lot of the plot is still left...

Are you trying to say that just because they're Hugo and Nebula, that they MUST be right? What's to say that their opinion of flawed plotline is more supreme than mine or yours? I found irresolved storylines with definite reasons, paying careful attention to the development of the plot. I did not si...

For all those who say that Ender's Shadow does not posses the same amount of depth as the original novel, I would have to strongly disagree. In fact, I found Bean's story to be far more insightful and emotional than Ender's. The characters (developments) were also by far greater than what I had seen...

The more I look back on things, the more I begin to realise that Lena's entire family is mentally ill. I'm quite certain Lena herself was not all there in the head. At first, I thought that maybe that's how the characters in the author's fantasy functioned. But the further I read, the more I underst...

In an ancient greek battle, some 300 Spartan (was it?) warriors fought off a million Persion soldiers near the path of a mountain. THAT was a giant exception considering that the geographical elements were clearly on their side. But for Troy, fighting off an army of millions of demonic beasts, the p...

I was able to forgive Covenant Chrons because the scene was an actual plot-dependent element. If it hadn't actually affected the story, I probably would stop reading it. As for these gruesome scenes you speak of in the Gap series (although I've never read it): one possible explanation is often that ...

Geesh... TWO years and this topic is still making hot debate. I think, we should take out all the relevant posts and combine them into a sort of a downloadable discussion. The things some people said here, are just too good. And with the recent loss of data, we should start thinking about preserving...

Very nicely said Fizbands. All good valid points. Personaly though (I don't mean to nag or ressurect this thread), but I nearly threw the book more so because of how Lena got treated for her kindness, rather than the vivid/violent nature of the scene. The scene is actually isn't violent as it is dis...
