Have thought about this. The Elohim are drawn to structures, and I think that the Worm is essentially the ultimate structure that attracts them. I believe that they tried to hide as best they could, but were drawn to the Worm anyway. Interested for any other explanations. I like this line of though...

WF: THAT's his name! That's the Swamp-Lord I meant. [unless memory is faulty again...but that sounds right.] No, he likes being called Swamp Lord. :) Hyrim is the Swamp Lord. Callindrill is the Doom's Retreat Lord. Memla is the Turncoat Claver. Din was her Coarser Mount. I couldn't stand Callindril...

Perhaps when Jeremiah sees Roger break free of the Despisers control is when Jeremiah realizes that he Jeremiah can break free of the ravers hold and come in to help save the day so Lord Foul cannot escape. I just can't for the life of me remember if Jeremiah saw Roger perform that act of mercy - s...

I got lost in the sheer number of Giants in the Last Chronicles. It was hard to remember who was who and who said what. In The One Tree, sure, they were on a Giant ship, but only a few of the Giants interacted with Linden and/or TC much. Also, those Giants were Swordmainnir, warriors, whereas Foamfo...

Some more thoughts. When I think of Providence, I think of Lord Mhoram's Victory. There he is, battle-blasted and emptied of power, his staff shattered, as the Giant Raver prepares to deliver an evil green coup de grace . And then, at the last possible moment in which it might have meaning and effe...

I always felt SWMNBN to be the feminine side of the Creator. Her presence is essential to creation. Her loss leaves the Creator unable to create, and to herself, the loss of her identity is such a profound agony that it turns her into the monster she is through all the Land's history up to that poin...

Some questions that we would need to think of answers to before proceeding with a new storyline like the one suggested. 1. Would the croyel have been destroyed when the Worm drank the Earthblood and precipitated the Earth's destruction or wouldn't they? In any case, what reason would Covenant, Lind...

Actually, I have thought about ways new stories could happen, and the scenario that seems best to me goes something like: It is several thousand years later, and the Land is invaded by an armada from overseas. The Council of Lords has rallied the population and is fighting with, seemingly, everythin...

I've tried to think of angles for a new story line, and while there are some possibilities, none I could come up with seem to have any potential as worthy successors in terms of psychological character evolution through the story. Sure, there's still moksha running around, the croyel are a bunch of ...

I think that in both cases (Clyne and the Master), the Raver went into them first, and it was only their ability to hold the Raver there and not let it leave, that allowed for the Raver's destruction. I'd assume that no Raver ever would have willingly possessed a tree, and certainly not one in any ...

How's this for a consideration? The difference between The First and Second Chronicles and how we read them, and The Last Chronicles and how we read them, is a combination of SRD being 20-30 years older and many of us (including myself) being 20-30 years older when The Last Chronicles were publishe...

The excommunication of Stave seemed formalistic to me (each of the Humbled striking him, followed by the Voice himself, with Stave standing and accepting each of the blows without resistance or retaliation), implying that this was a rite that might have been performed before. That would imply that t...
