I had a depressing thought just now that reinforces your pessimism about the series being made... The only paradigm for "R" rated fantasy is the Conan movies -- which were unquestionably "B" movies at best (a guilty pleasure nonetheless). And imagining TCTC in Dino de Laurentis'...

and as far as Snape getting the Horcrux, the person who took it lef the initials RB...Regulus Black(thats the running theory)...he may still be dead, but i think that its a foregone conclusion that the horcrux was in #12 Grimuld place, cuz Regulus hid it there...and now that the house is Harrys...so...

hey revan, i wouldnt go that far...as ive said before, martins cadence and writing style leave ALOT to be desired, and his penchant for killing anything and everything is getting old...

it IS a good story, but he could definately use some improvement

heh... is anybody going to even REMEMBER the dursleys in the next one? i know they were only left out of the 4th one, but... they HAVE to be in this one, as more of the book is devoted to them than in previous books....i mean, he gets attacked by a dementor and everything....theyll probably have him...

i liked the book...a few missing characters that probably could have been included in a few chapters...kinda short...but im used to buying them all in paperback, so...maybe it was just an illusion...it could have used about another 5 chapters

i may find some parts in WOT a little boring and slow, but ive felt that way about alot of the books/series that ive read, including donaldson...i think its inevitable

and i find WoT a MUCH smoother read than a song of ice and fire so far...
