Well, well! - curiouser and curiouser. The man who had been holding the horse touched Covenant's knee to get his attention. "Her name is Dura - Dura Fairflank. I have trained her well. She is as good as a Ranyhyn," he boasted." When I was registering I had not thought of a username. W...

In the Summonsing, Dura Fairflank mentioned she has yet to read the Last Chronicles, Frostheart. So she probably wouldn't understand references to Moire Squareset or the Ironhand--not yet, anyway. 8O ... you really must tell me what I'd said to make you think I'm a she . (... assuming I hadn't acti...

I'm reminded of the battery operated light projector I had as a kid. Sadly I can only remember of one set of movie strips - Disney's Robin Hood - the other two have escaped me. I would often disappear into a dark closet for what seemed like hours on end.

I think you and MichaelM are looking for this thread: What fantasy/science fiction book are you reading RIGHT NOW? ;) (Not that it matters in the scheme of things, but we try to be orderly. Sometimes. ;) ) --A The *not* Donaldson part confused me. General Fantasy/Sci-Fi Discussion A place for anyth...

On the strength of the original post, doesn't the palace of Queen Amidala have structural similarities to Revelstone (with Furl's Fall in the background). From Episode 1: The Phantom Menace s27.postimg.org/umoi0g9ub/Furl_s_Fall.jpg A more subdued image: Qui-Gon's funeral. s4.postimg.org/knmjn52q5/Cr...

And what it does have to offer visually, we've seen before. I've been on a Star Wars trip recently, watching whatever chapter I can find. Yesterday it was The Phantom Menace . I noted that during the Gungan battle against the droid army a cow-like animal carrying a cannon strapped to it's back took...

Hey wow, that's pretty cool. :D --A  I'm a little surprised there hasn't been any more comments. To be honest, I was expecting some remarks such as ... Oh not that old chestnut ... Why do newbies always bring up the Geonosis thing ? ... Has it really been 12 years! ... He he he he he the bifte...

I'm looking forward to seeing the DVD. If only to know what some of the books on the bookshelves are - and to have a clearer look at the R-31D capsule.

It's a rather flagrant melding of Solaris and 2001 , but it lacks the intelligence or cohesiveness of either. This is typical of Nolan's films, as he thinks he's a lot smarter (or more clever if you prefer) than he actually is. There was a bit of the music score that reminded me of Solaris , althou...

Ridjeck Thome is on Geonosis

I'd already posted this picture in the First and Second Chronicles section concerning an actor who could play Thomas Covenant in the hypothetical, but always hopeful, movie. Anyway, I wanted to ask if the image seen in the background that looks like Foul's Creche is old news. Does anyone know if thi...
