We talked a little bit during and before and after recording regarding his Facebook comments about the third Kharkanas. I believe it's shelved until at least after the next Willful Child and the first of Karsa Orlong's forthcoming trilogy.

Followed up on that "pilot episode" of a Malazan podcast with Erikson/Esslemont. Notes link.

We'll see. There's been pretty healthy response to the idea - if it's worth it, I'll work to transcribe it.

I do think Fantasy/genre authors podcasting themselves is an untapped medium.

I feel like Bakker has graduated from genre to full on (L)iterature with the last two volumes and - surprise, surprise - it doesn't reward shallow reading.
