Avatar, (Aside: I can't help but think of your name in the voice of the Guardian. Ultima, anyone? No?) I've read Gilden-fire twice, as I recall. Once when it first came out, but it didn't make a lot of sense reading it on its own. The second time I read it "in order" during a TC1 read. It'...

Thing is, most of those readings were over 20 years ago - and I've probably read only the TC books and the Gap series once in the last 10 years. MN at some point before that. For a while there I was reading the TC books and Mordants Need every couple of years, but that was a long time ago :). I have...

Deer, I'm looking forward to your thoughts as you finish FK. Don't want to spoil anything tho, so I'll say no more. I'm listening to The Passage by Justin Cronin, read by Scott Brick. This is a re-listen for me; the first time was about 5 years ago. Book 3 of the trilogy came out a couple of months ...

While it's true that we knew Seventh Decimate had been expanded into a trilogy, it's nice to have a name for the trilogy, and to have a publisher pick it up and announce a publication date.

November '17 is still a long way off ... but then it's already been three years since TLD was published!

Deer, definitely persevere. The Gap series is amazing.

If you still feel the same at the end of Forbidden Knowledge, then let's talk :).

Thank you, all, for the warm welcome :). Avatar, I do feel like I know a lot of you already, but mainly because you all like talking about my favourite author :). I don't share your expertise, however. I've probably only read each of the series a few times, at most. TC 1 and 2, maybe 4 or 5 times; M...

Hi, everyone. I'm Hunchback Jack (or HBJ, or Jack). I've been lurking on here on and off for many years, and may have even registered before, by some long-forgotten username, but I signed up again today. I first read SRD in 1983 or '84, as a high school kid in Australia. I was utterly captivated by ...

The Wounded Land available on audio!

Scott Brick has recorded, produced, and released the first volume of the Second Chronicles on audio. The One Tree and White Gold Wielder will be available in October and December, respectively. Read his announcement - and pre-order the trilogy - here: Announcement (well worth reading) Order The Woun...
