Forgive me about my intrusion - while I have read Gatto, and he has some good points, he's also something of a crank, and not only about education. He came to my city a while back, and gave a lecture about the evils of fast food, going on and on about "poop burgers." Anyway, I'd like to me...

Condign

Definatly formication.
Spoiler
The first time I read it, into my mind sprung an image of adept Havelock in Anele's position, muttering "formication!"

And even in our wourld, only certain cultures have created very much in the way of technological advances; the people of the Americas, Australia, and much of southern Africa for whatever reason didn't develop advanced technology anything like that seen elsowhere. Much is a matter of culture. For ins...

I'm starting to side with Avatar.. unless you are a moderate, democracy has very little to offer you in terms of representation. That's one reason more state and local control is beneficial; so that people who have wildly different views (as they will tend to in a free society) can be somewere wher...

Yeah, I noticed that one too. At least in this one, SRD didn't keep repeating phrases in Linden's mind in the manner of "are you not evil," "don't touch me," "you are being forged...", etc. For instance, I rather expected the "I am content" lineto become much ...

I might have forgotten something important, but from what I can recall, ragaurding the decisions that had already been made by Linden, if there were not already some evidence that the Staff had been removed from time, then why on Earth would she just dash blindly iinto a ceasure, before first ascert...

Formication. Sounds like something Adept Havelock says alot, and is repeated about a dozen times in what amounts to one scene. :? Something about the sensation of ants crawling all over one.

I was rather struck by how many times "formication" was used, so I looked it up. Formication, n. a sensation of the body made by the creeping of ants on the skin" Whay is there even a word for that in English??? :? I think this one's close enough for caesure, from Websters New Twentie...

I don't really dislike Linden after TOT, but her use of the white gold has been bugging me. It's probably because Covenent is white gold, and she is not, but the power is treated entirely differently; where Covenent would get really enraged, blow up, use his power, and then feel really, really guilt...

I pretty much guessed the ending by the chapter's title... (Is wondering about the whole "beware; remember that I'm dead now" thing from Covenant)

I was most suprised by the Hurachi supressing the past, and Esmer.

I had thought that it was a result of the Staff being latent combined with the lack of lore to understand what was happening and how to stop it; the physical manefestation of the complete neglect of earthpower. Madship's theory is quite interesting, and possible imo, however. I don't think that it c...

I'd vote for Kevin/foul; I want to know what it was about him that made him such a great Lord, and how all the old lords could be duped by Foul.

And your signature is in The Last Battle :D

If someone actually belives what Christanity states, then it would be illogical to think that anything that says anything contrary would be wrong.

Fanatic? No mare than most other Christains who actually act on what thay believe. Can you give an example of him saying those things? I can't think of any in any of the books i"ve read. (Mere Christianity, Space Trilogy, Narnia, The Great Divorce, Till We Have Faces and The Weight of Glory)

RE:Question from TIW

Pehaps, though not as readily. They still had to trust TC even though he was summoned be TF and Drool.

TC could've been pertially wrong, too. He was still the Unbeliever, and rather bitter at the time. He could've just wanted to make HT doubt himself....

Survivor poll

I chose Elena because she never really understands how Earthpower works, I don't like her at al, and it seems as though she shouldn't be in the same keep as both TC and LA. Somehow it just seems as though if she were there, TC would be too scared to use his power, LA would be too distractedto do re...

Re: Test of Truth

Just a thought, but in Daughter of Regals SRD says about a simaler peice of wood "It's nature transended my own. Even with my arms about it it seemed to ooze from me as if it were liquid rather than solid-a scepter composed of a substance I could not comprehend." Perhaps when TC first tri...

Bloodgaurd Questions

But in the second chrons they weren't bloodgaurd! They were almost the same, but hadn't sworn any Vow. I got the impression that they could eat "normal" food, but it wasn't really clear whether they ever slept or not. Regarding the food, also, it doesn't seem as though there's Alaintha in...
