Well I've been a hardcore fan of this series since day one, I absolutely loved Gardens of the Moon, read Deadhouse Gates over the summer, and I'm not starting my read of Memories of Ice, brilliant. Silverfox is an amazing character and who doesn't love Dujek. Cheers.

Thats why I keep my journal next to my bed at night. I've woken up randomly sometimes from a dream or just suddenly I'm awake and written some of the best poetry I've ever come up with. And you're so groggy you just need it legible enough that you can read it in the morn, cheers.

Ha Loremaster, that'd be funny to see. With regarding to The Leper Fairy swooning over a fresh piece of paper and some new pens. I know the feeling. The reason this thread was started is cuz I just changed over to a new journal and I always kind of go fancy for my journals, nice leatherbound and usu...

I find when I write poetry, I am most inspired when I'm out sitting in public someplace. Outdoors at a cafe or having coffee on some steps, just me and the journal, the best of writing and inspiration, cheers.

I understand that people talk about who has the time but if you think about all the things you do in the day, how much televisoin do you watch, or spend time doing this random thing or that, you can always make time for the things that matter, and for me writing at the end of the day make a differen...

I find it interesting how writing by hand is slowly going extinct, I mean when is the last time you really wrote a long hand letter to a friend. Some people keep it up, but its going out of style, with the advent of technology and e-mail and internet. Ah well. I enjoy the process and act of writing ...

For all you writers out there.

For all the writers out there, be it fiction, poetry, or just daily ramblings in a journal or diary, what do you write in? Any specific type of journal, regular notebook paper, does it matter, do you need a fancy journal, or is it just the act of writing? I have a specific type of journal I've been ...

I had started reading his series last year, finished the first book Gardens of the Moon and then got half way through Deadhouse Gates but university started to kick my ass so I had to set it down but when I came back ...

I don't follow the New York Times Best Seller list blind like a lot of people do, they consdier it gospel and thats just a bit stupid to me. I work in a book store part time when I'm not at university and we get a lot of "top 20 believers" as I call them, they will only read books taht are...

Be forewarned as a first time reader that it is very difficult to get going. It is slow and sluggish at times, but you have to work at it. It took me about 2 tries to really get past chapter 3. The first chapter is difficult, and so is the second but when you get to Leopold Bloom, a hero of the sto...

Bloomsday

Yes, Yes, I know its TOMORROW! But I thought I'd create a thread. Anyone else celebrate it. I love Bloomsday. The past few years I go to Toronto during the day and make an appearance at the festival. There are usually some readings, and then people go out and eat some "grilled mutton kidneys, e...
