My garden tomato's are winding down for the season. I am going to miss them all when they are gone. There is nothing better than having them ripen on the vine so they have time to develop that specific flavor that you rarely get from store bought tomato's that are picked not yet ripe and ripen in th...
Concerts
Went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd with ZZ-Top on Friday night at Riverbend in Ohio. What a great concert! 5 hours of rocking to celebrate 50 years of Skynyrd. Was up way later than normal but was worth it.

I saw the same thing. Its really a shame that she was not included more and originally she had the same billing as Shatner and Nimoy. But for women of that time, that industry was horrible to many women, her included. In some instances it was "put out our get out". I have not read them, bu...

You have to move forward in time. I think that was Linden speaking to the dead after her encounter with Kevin's Ghost.

Brandy pink might be a hybrid of Heirloom Brandywine tomatoes which are my favorite by far. I typically don't get many tomatoes per plant but the ones I get are the BEST!!

Interesting that you caught that so quickly.... guess really loving Buffy and watching it pays off in noting that. I have read since that episode came out, they did try to imitate much of the style of that Buffy episode.

That's awesome to get a volunteer from a previous season!! We got butternut squashes one year because of that. The squash blossum's look amazing and I never thought to use them in that manner. I guess you have to be careful not to take them all or you limit your actual squash. Let me know I would be...

My wife and I had an abundance of fresh tomatoes this year so we broke out the canning stuff and made and canned salsa. Its not overly difficult and its a really good way to use some fresh veggies on something that is eaten a lot at our house. The only thing I would do different is I would strain th...

I've been watching Trek since the 60's and have watched just about everything Trek has to offer. I was not sure what to expect from a musical Trek episode......... but...... I LOVED IT!!! I thought it was a really great episode. Well done!

Tomato Sandwiches. I had two for lunch yesterday. Nothing like them. White bread, fresh vine ripe tomatoes, Dukes mayo on both sides of the bread, salt and pepper. Something about that combination is absolutely delicious! Sorry for the super large image but it shows what a true tomato sandwich shoul...

Had a similar occurrence with another forum. Seems there's something about Hotmail and other email domains that some servers don't like. Prolly spam issues. Doubt there's more than 2 other Hotmail addresses with real people behind them, so i don't think this is likely to come up again. Viva gmail, ...

I had Bison ribeye steaks yesterday grilled medium rare, with a side of fresh tossed homegrown cherry tomatoes cut in half, tossed with cubed Mozzarella, fresh basil, and balsamic vinaigrette. Absolutely outstanding.

Possibly the best episode of the season. I loved Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, but this episode was more..... personal. PTSD but also ... how to forgive when you can't forget.

Clint Howard in Star Trek again. All is good. For those don't recognize him he was the alien in TOS "The Carbonite Maneauver"
