First Read - The Bonehunters: Book 6 - of the Malazan

About 80% done.... the storyline dragged for a bit with some truly fun interleaved. Overall still really like this one.

Wow.. well Paran... who knew early on how big a role he would have later? Master of the Deck (and maybe close to ascension). So now he and others have found there way through a very old warren and is on a quest. He seems to be more than just Master of the Deck.

WOW... what a great start to a book. Some of them made it out, the honey had healing properties, and the mouse is still with them. But now we have switched up and are following a couple of different threads with Quick Ben, Absolar, Kalam, Paran, Heboric, Icarium, Felisin, Scillara, Greyfrog, Cutter,...

What a great book so far!! So they attacked Y'Ghatan and what a "hot" mess that was.... now they are following a mouse trying to get out.

In my head I hear from Grease "Look! All the gangs together!" Nice to see Quick Ben, Heboric, Icarium, Mappo, Fiddler, etc etc etc. Although the last book was a "long" diversion from everything else, its nice to get back to the main storyline again... of course main storyline is ...

Karsa is back! I absolutely love Karsa as a character. Of course he runs right to a big gate, slams his sword in between the doors and cuts open the lock, the starts a fight to the death (without his sword) with some creature. Love it!

The "Who Said That?" Game

Sorry for a months long delay. Yes, Foamfollower in The Power that Preserves "the Spoiled Plains". Foamfollower was speaking to Covenant but speaking about Bannor as he had just left. Foamfollower was trying to get TC to see that Bannor was making a good choice to leave instead of seeking ...

First Read - The Bonehunters: Book 6 - of the Malazan

I am enjoying this one much more than some of the previous ones. Now that I know some of the characters better, the stories seem to flow better. So Apsalar now has two ghosts that are following her around, and she has a mission. She just kicked a couple of guards butts and found some tablets that sh...

First Read - Midnight Tides: Book 5 of the Malazan

I did finish. It as a long slog to get to the last few chapters but the last few were worth the read to get there. I did not see Rhulad surviving after being killed like 3 more times and at the end I thought they might leave him alive but dismembered. Funny how I let the plots lead me along only to ...

What have you gleaned from this delve into Marx's works? Anything too controversial might be better off moved to another forum.

I went ahead and downloaded book 6. I will be travelling this weekend and I normally get quite a bit of reading done when doing so. It will have taken me just over 3 months for this one book. I certainly wasn't breaking any records in amount of time to read a book.

STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE

As soon as I finish my roll through a rewatch of Voyager, I am going to move on to DS9. I do recall the first season not being my favorite but that is normal for new series. I am sure I missed many of them and am looking forward to watching the ones I missed for the first time.

But aren't Tehol and Bugg the best?!? Yep!!! The fun of the story always seems to pick up when they are involved. :) The other thing is the Acquisitor traveling with the Avowed. It was interesting to read the explanation that Corlo had on what "warrens" are and how "magic" works.

I'm almost 80% complete now. Its been a bit of a slog but things are finally happening. Funny that the story line moved away from Rhulad and on to other things. I expect it has to get back to him soon. One thing is certain, do NOT kill him again.
