I think you're absolutely right. I have a digi cam and an old Minolta that uses film. Digital pictures just lack emotional depth, for me. It's so much easier to just snap snap snap until the perfect shot comes out. Or you can Photoshop a picture a million different ways. You don't really need to th...

That is awesome Cheval! Good luck in finding a new job. It will be worth it! I have a boss who I despise and am in a similar situation, but have not had the courage to leave yet. I am glad you stood up for yourself and your co-worker.
Hopefully things at your next job will be better.

Where in the 14th amendment is work separated from property ownership? Why would it deny some people the right to buy and rent property based upon citizenship. and yet not deny them the ability to work in the U.S. under existing federal law. I don't see it written that way at all. By itself, a 14th ...

Re: White van man strikes again.

... the white van driver behind me ... Kill all the white people Then we'll be free, we'll be free. LMAO! Nice interpretation. I didn't see it that way. I saw "white van" not "white driver of the van". AH, the language is never forgiving. ;) Glad to hear you're OK with minimal d...

FILTER THE VUVUZELA OUT

If your TV has an EQ, drop the 266Hz and 425hz bands. There are also some interesting ways to run your tv's ausio through your PC to lower the buzz.

After a few matches, I found that it didn't bother me at all anymore. Then again, I am a bee-keeper. ;)

What about the fact that I pay school district taxes that are supposed to cover the cost of student trtansportation, after-school activities, textbooks, computers, salaries, etc.etc.etc. The biggest drain on the school budget is teachers' salaries. Some, IMO, are overpaid. And for that I blame union...

I still haven't received my new card. Good thing I keep a stash of cash for emergencies. :) HLT...that was definitely the right thing to do. She was lucky it was someone like you who used the machine next. AV...the issue is that I maintain an account out-of-state, so I can't just go into the branch ...

Habit leading to absentmindedness!

Well....here's the situation....I am at an ATM/MAC/cash machine withdrawing money. Now, 99.99% of the machines I use require a simple swipe of my card, immediately after which I return my card to my wallet. The machine I am using for this transaction is the .01% that ingests the card at the beginnin...

Absolutely true, Av. Which is why "free will" can neither solely be defined by desire, nor can desire be taken out of the definition.

I agree with Nate. It's not the succeeding that matters. It's the trying. Pretty sure SRD said somthing very similar. If it was only success that proved free will, then losing a game would be having your freedom to win taken from you. In this scenario, you are free to try and escape, or turn the ta...

I have a dog. He is great, and loves everybody...but I understand that not everybody may love him..... Therefore, I always have him on a leash unless I am in a dog park. (Dog parks are becoming very popular, and are a great place to "un-leash" your dog, with full knowledge that there will ...

Holsety.... "Nee" (pronounced "nay") is the sound a horse makes. "Nee" itself means maiden name, or name before marriage. It's just horse-play on words. :D But.. an Italian, a Mexican and George Bush are walking through the desert. The Italian has a bottle of water, the...

An even better example there! You are convinced since birth of something that cannot be true: A loving God who burns people forever. God doesn"t do the burning. You make the choices and perform the actions/inactions that ultimately decide your fate, if I understand the premise correctly. God s...

Just because people buy tv's, cars, cable, cellphones and homes doesn't mean they can afford them. After all, "credit" allows one to purchase almost anything with little or no money.
