Fatal Revenant debuts at #12 on NY Times Bestseller List

I believe ROTE debuted at 22 or 26. Hopefully this is also an indicator of improved sales.

Martin's A Storm of Swords debuted at twelve 7 years ago, and A Feast for Crows next debuted at #1.

Well, not denying that, I just don't recall SRD ever writing TC or LA as sexual characters. We have more vivid rape scenes from SRD than we do tender love scenes. (Not that either is a predictor of literary quality, of course.)

However, play as you will, and, uh, with whatever you will. :-)

The other, very distinct, possibility is that SRD *knows* exactly how "bad" these things Linden is doing are, and has every intention of using that fact later in the story. Spoilered, even though it is 100% speculation, and not based on having read FR yet. Just in case. You say that it is...

Oh yeah. Terry Goodkind is a freakin' loon. Amazon hosts a video interview of him for his latest book, and he's the closest thing to Vlad Dracul that I've ever seen. Listen to how he thinks stories should be told. He should be writing for Mother Goose.

It's interesting: #1 - if dozens of Watch members did this in unison (assuming there are hundreds of Watch members willing to), Fatal Revenant *might* be shown in the "Others who viewed this item..." it might work. If hundreds did it (and we know that we have the numbers!!!!!), it's a go. ...

Jenn, sweetie, I don't think that anyone other than a few of us here on the Watch will make the connection. And I don't mean to demean your significance, of course, because it is, well, significant. A significance that I envy. ENVY.

Well - somebody got their undies in a bunch and voted against all of the positive reviews on Amazon! Grrrrr. Maybe it was that "Anon" who was using white-out while reading Fatal Revenant to "un-Foul" the linguistic beauty of the book. (See GI.)

Help SRD market Fatal Revenant and boost sales!

We know that SRD is getting royally screwed by his publisher. They did a fair amount of marketing for ROTE (not enough), and as far as I can tell, haven't done any with FR. Then there's the cover art. Switching artists "mid-epic" is a terrible sign, and is often off-putting to casual shopp...

I recently bought all four books, intending to re-read them for the first time since 7th/8th grade (around the time of High Lord Kevin Landwaster, I believe). I'm glad you said something, because I had forgotten them!!!

Wouldn't kill us all to do the same at Barnes and Noble's as well. Being that Harriet's is currently the only review there.... You're right, of course. How silly of me to forget about that site entirely, especially when I commented on Harriet's review being there earlier in this thread. DUH. I subm...

 *sigh* Sometime in the middle of the night I woke up and realized that the better idea than *voting* for positive reviews is *writing* positive reviews. The more reviews an item has, the more "weight" it carries as that implies to people that the book is/was a big seller, or at leas...

I'm not quite sure how to say this and *not* sound like I'm soliciting, but the best thing that anybody can do aside from buying Fatal Revenant is to give a helpful vote to any review on Amazon that is positive. (Amazon is the largest community review site on the Internet.) Since mine is 1 of 2 revi...

You weren't the only person. Other people left comments on her review regarding the spoilers. I was glad, because that meant when it was reported, Amazon would read the comments, read the review, and make up their minds. Obviously, they agreed with the people who said there were spoilers. For having...

Aw, crap. I really hoped she wouldn't post. It's a five-star review, at least, but Harriet's "trolls" will likely jump all over it and the book will end up with 1 helpful vote out of 10.

Last year, I ordered both copies - UK and US. I'm doing the same this year.

With the pound so much stronger than the dollar, you should have ordered from the US!
