I think that the vision of science fiction is where it has always been. I also think that peoples expectations of science fiction have always been much higher than for other genre. Because it deals with possible futures, there is always the need to ask... "could that happen in the future?"...

I havent been there... which I know is sacriledge... as I have been around the world... but never seen the South Island. They tell me its gorgeous down there and Ive promised my mother we will come back some time and do a trip around the South Island to rectify the situation.
