Any maps exist?

Or has anyone tried their hand at approximating a map? Curious about the layout put forth here.

Err, I guess one way we could just approach this is very directly and simply by saying we don't see or hear from him because he, well... died? Is it so strange the last time he's directly involved in the book is the point the beggar died?

It's closed indefinitely, but who knows, if SRD has any free time and is feeling reckless one night he may open it again. :P

I'd ask him about the epilogue. Like... why was it necessary and why include hints of more adventures when you don't plan to continue them.

I definitely liked the new giants and their names, they were a lot more memorable than the swordmainir IMO... particularly Stoutgirth and Scatterwit.

I don't mind that the name is never revealed, she was merely reminded of who She is. At the end TC hints at the three of them having dangerous knowledge. I believe Lindens knowledge is the name.

I don't think he hates himself. Never got that vibe. He just feels ineffectual.

There is allot of cooperation though, especially towards the end. Aneles quote comes to mind.

B*tch slapped!! (spoilers)

Haha, oh man! The Despiser's biggest mistake was underestimating a woman scorned. Getting God-Slapped was one of my favorite parts of the finale, and strangely humorous. Are there any parts of TLD that struck you as funny, even considering the tone or setting? Another one for me was the caamora. Des...

My purchase was a double edged sword. I picked it up on my work break on the 15th, and have enjoyed reading it since--just started book two. Unfortunately, it seemed my fiance had bought it or had planned to buy it for my birthday... and now I have forced her back to the drawing board with my birthd...

It's been awhile since I've read Runes, but I don't remember anything feeling off about that part. Maybe it's just hindsight though, since most of the first three books are about various entities and their philosophies challenging Linden's... and then quickly bowing out for various reasons--trust be...

There's a lot of references to blindness in the final chronicles, so to me "The Last Dark" has an eye-opening feel to it. Like, finally a lot of blindnesses will be lifted, both literal and metaphorical. Anele, Mahtiir, Kevin's Dirt, just to name a few.

It's a stretch, but... Berek and Fire Lions? *shrug*

There's never a clear description of Fire Lions, plus the background seems very fiery.

That's the part when Lord Willie Nelson had to subdue the overgrown Gremlins. Riveting scene.

Don't feed them after midnight.

Why drawn the line there?

You could read the first paragraph of Lord Foul's Bane, then set it down forever.

Actually... that would be an interesting experiment. O_o

Re: The One Tree and why it's so arduous

3. Linden's "possession" of Covenant (this continues into WGW, of course). She feels like she's raping him, etc. So why can't she ASK, for crying out loud? It's like it's not even an option. "Possession is evil." It's evil because it's a violation; but with consent, what's the p...

Troy's the Han Solo. Sure TC has to slip through the cracks and take out the Big Bad, save the Land... but someone has to rally the troops back home and make sure there are survivors to live in the land that was saved. 8) OK on second thought, that's Mhorham. Maybe he's more of a... Lando? Screws up...

Cover art, across all mediums, is notoriously... um... well let's just say the more specific the artist tries to be to the contents the more discrepencies there are. Music seems to have solved this by taking the nonsensical approach. Books still seem to suffer from the same difficulties old 8-bit ga...

Bhapa is the young one. Mahrtiir is the older Manethrall of the group.

Also... I'm not arguing for it, just playing devil's advocate here. But to those who say that can't be the Staff of Law on the cover due to how it looks nothing like it... have you looked at your AATE cover lately?
