Malazan Issues [And Stuff] (Spoilers)
So, I changed the title of this thread a bit, since I'm running ahead in my re-read so I might as well use this for just random stuff as well. Just finished HoC and I'm reminded why this was for a long time my favourite, and remains such a good book...I might skim the first couple hundred pages, at ...

LOL, I just saw an article in which some Conservative MP said Sunak should listen to the voters and swing further right...because that's obviously why they're losing...people think they arr too liberal...

The Photography thread - with pictures.
Cool.
Never heard of these things. When I first saw the pic I assumed they were otters, (which makes sense since a quick google tells me they are also mustelids).

What Do You Think Today?
And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, Speak to us of Children. And he said: Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give ...

Malazan Issues (Spoilers)
So, this is not an issue so much as an observation, but toward the end of MoI, which is where I am on the re-read now, Dujek and Whiskeyjack have a conversation before heading to Coral...it basically resolves the majority of "imperial tension" issues in the whole series, if you can just re...

Really? I'm curious, why? To be fair I haven't tried the remastered ones...but I grew up with TNG and even then ToS just looked cheesy to me...and it's only gotten worse as things have progressed. I don't have the nostalgia factor to fall back on...apart from TMP and WoK I don't think I'd even seen...

I meant to mention that the end of GoTM gives us our first indication that Erikson struggles with the difference between "flail" and "flay." (Always annoys me when I see him get it wrong, although he doesn't always. Maybe it was his editor.

Well, I'm finished DHG. I'll save any comments here for when SB has progressed a little. Onto MoI now.
