The caesure exists in truth only in the time after Joan started making them, while it touches every moment before that. Logically, the caesure that the Demondim controlled 3000 years ago was the same caesure they're wielding in the present, they could have just found it again when they came out of ...

One thing I don't get about the Demondin. They have a link to the Illearth Stone transmitting through the caesure that took them from their time to the time where they first appeared. But how does that still transmit after passing through a second caesure, one which was subsequently closed down?

Hey - and what's up with the Demondim anyways - I mean dropping out of a time and attacking - what's there game? - do they want the White Gold? - do they want the Staff of Law? - are they after something else? - are they pawns? All guesswork but... My guess is that they don't like the ur-viles and ...

Because he died in his mother's womb you mean? I suppose you could argue that with the breaking of the law of life, he is no longer dead.

The Demondin

So these Caesures go back as far as the time of High Lord Kevin at least, if the Demondin are present. Are we now to assume that these Demondin were Kevin's foes, and the reason they disappeared was not because of the Ritual of Desecration but because of a Caesure taking them into the future? Mount ...

But native, how we you know which group created the Dirt? We can only speculate 8-) None of us have any idea of course, but we can at least seperate the boring possibilites from the interesting ones. My guess is that if it were a threat of the order of the Sunbane then Linden with staff and ring wo...

Perhaps we should review the relevant parties at this point. The Skurj, Kastenessen and Esmer seem to be more or less allied, though the latter comes and goes. Joan, Roger and Foul seem to be on the same page as each other. Linden, Stave, Liand and the Ramen seem to a discreet gang at this point. Ev...

Perhaps, but consider at the word "riposte" its an response/counter attack against something. I had forgotten about Anele skurj comment as well... It is the Skurj that mar the very air. I sort of imagine that when the Durance broke, it got scattered throughout the world by the Skurj like ...

Eh? Do you have an explanation of why Foul would say 'vacant' if Jeremiah wasn't? Or of how we know he wasn't. We can't tell if you're squirming until we hear it. :) Well Foul simply appears to be misleading or just plain wrong on this point. We've seen for ourselves that Jeremiah isn't vacant. Why...

Three, if Jeremiah's mind was in the land but his body remained in the real world, then when he was summoned he would be re-united. This is what many claim, as it explains Jeremiah's animated nature when we meet up with him. He's been finally made whole. Why, then, would Foul persist in calling him...

And if you've noticed, not once in all of Runes did someone come up to Linden and say "By the way, Foul's got your son. You know, in case you were wondering." I think that either 1.) She happened to overhear Foul telling someone (Raver, etc.) to tell Linden that he had his son when he did...

Re: Foul/Jeremiah and other musings

Then again, we have to look at the fact that he is found alongside Covenant. This is all kinds of weird now. Did Covenant rescue him? Did Foul somehow control Covenant now and is sending him back with Jeremiah just to mess with Linden? I think we may have to examine the roll of the Demondin rather ...

I agree that the line is cryptic, and might play to the Despiser's unwillingness to tell a direct lie. But Foul does say later that "Apart from the claiming of your vacant son, I have merely blah blah." Claiming and having are subtly different things of course, and could merely refer to th...

While I don't rule anything out where SRD is concerned, I doubt it. Kas had gold, which seemed to be able to manipulate the wild magic that Covenant threw at him, but I'd be surprised if he could use regular gold to manipulate time from scratch the way white gold does.:D It may have been the Croyel...

I've given some thought to Jeremiah. It seems he was in the Land during and since the second chronicles but yet he remained conscious in the real world as well, at least in a vague sense. It seem to me that this would probably affect how he was embodied in the Land up till now, trapped in between wo...

What if there's only one caesure and Linden Avery was the one who made it?

Except Covenant IS the White Gold. I suspect he is ALL White Gold, including Joan's ring.
