Series That Never End

Anyway, Wheel of Time did end. 14 door-stoppers, but it ended. :D (And a few in the middle were terrible.) It ended, but not by Robert Jordan's hand. I feel bad being a little snarky about it, but he was in no rush to finish it up. That kind of turned me off towards the genre. To me it was pushed b...

Foundation

Season 2 is scheduled to come out on July 14. I’m looking forward to it. Inspired by the Foundation books is a pretty accurate description but I got into it. If you already have AppleTV it’s worth checking out, imo.

How Do You Feel Today? v4

Fist and Faith wrote: One month old... For a couple days. Not sure I'd be up for that.
He’s loud for a tiny guy! 😃

And it would be a lot more exhausting to watch his big brothers and sister. 5, 3 and 18 months.

Whatcha been playing lately?

All these years of reading Avatar’s posts on Kenshi finally got me to try out the game. So far I’m having a good time.

Tina Turner (RIP)

Rest in peace, Tina Turner. What a hard life she had to start, growing up poor, living with Ike, but what a talent she was. In the 80s and 90s it seemed like she was all the time coming out with a great song. And in the end, it sounded like she found what she always wanted; a quiet, peaceful life.

Gordon Lightfoot (RIP)

I've been listening to Gordon Lightfoot quite a bit this week after news of his passing came out. He toured a lot and I always wanted to see him but I never worked out. Sundown, Cotton Jenny, Rainy Day People, the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald all great songs. RIP, Gord.

What Do You Think Today?

Since the coronation is on in place of what I normally might watch on a Saturday morning, I have to wonder how people there feel about the Coronation Concert. LONDON -- Some of music's biggest stars are slated to perform at King Charles III's coronation on Saturday. Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and And...

What's for Lunch/Brunch?

That sounds interesting, Menolly. Cauliflower to me usually needs a little bit of spicing up. I keep some red pepper flakes at the table to spice up bland foods like cauliflower. I don’t have to eat meat at a meal. In fact, last week, I made a pot of great Northern beans in the slow cooker that serv...

What's for dinner?

Yes, 😆

She tried it but didn’t like it. That was all I asked. She thought the same of the Indian restaurant I took her to.

We had a nice garlic shrimp dinner served over egg noodles. Close to shrimp de jonghe but without a the breadcrumbs.

What's for Lunch/Brunch?

Friday is boneless wing day. I go to a local place and have them either with mango habanero or teriyaki sauce. I eat boneless rather than real wings mainly because its easier to keep the sauce out of my beard.

I don't like sea urchin, and have read to be careful of white tuna, but I'll eat anything else at a sushi restaurant. I haven't had it much the last few years as my wife doesn't like sushi.

What's for dinner?

Last night, we were going to go to a wood fired pizza place in Lake Geneva, WI, but when we got there, the road was under construction and we couldn't park close; a must since my wife doesn't have the range to walk since she broke her leg a few years ago. So we wound up going to Noodles & Co. It...

Nothing right now ;)

I've been dieting but I was out a couple of hours ago and splurged having a couple over easy eggs and corned beef hash.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

I went out to the theater this week to watch Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I was never a big D&D player in the day, but the reviews were good and so were the previews. It was a good time, it didn't take itself too seriously, like a lot of fantasy movies seem to do. Maybe about 15 ...
