That doesn't seem like Loki's kind of thing to me? I dunno. I don't have a good guess as to who is behind the Timekeepers atm. [spoiler]My current suspicion is that "pruning" doesn't actually erase any people or timelines, but instead sends them all into one big pocket dimension where all ...

Saw an interesting point made on Twitter that the Sun (a Rupert Murdoch-owned paper) just happens to have taken down a Cabinet minister the week before another Cabinet minister was due to make a major decision on Murdoch's ability to influence editorial decisions at two of his other papers. Implicat...

I was wrong!

Anyway, looks like this is gonna be one of those ones where they move things quickly and keep changing the game because of the short episode run. Second episode was good but I think the next one is the make-or-break point for the show.

Loki

So that was a pretty fun start to the show, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. Not sure how I feel about it only being 6 episodes, but then again ~5 hours is a lot of time to tell a story. What do you folks think? Here's where I try to predict where the whole thing is going based on ju...

Not really. The person the GP had referred me to was from something called Social Prescribing and all they ended up doing was giving me the phone numbers for some local mental health charities. I assume the unit only exists to direct people away from the NHS to try and save the government money...

Had my first dose of Covid vaccine yesterday. Have had a sore patch on my arm for 24 hours but no other side effects so far.

Absolutely no blame on that, of course. There are many more important things than this.

Heading towards one year since we dropped this. I remain willing to pick it back up if the three of you want; alternatively if you feel like it's over and done now, I'd also be willing to answer questions and talk about behind the scenes stuff if anyone is interested in that.

I never got around to that one. Bakker started to really come across as an asshole the more I saw of him outside the books, and they were kind of miserable to begin with even when they were good, so I stopped paying him any attention. - Recently I finished reading A Gathering of Shadows by VE Schwab...

You're right that we're heading in a good direction, such as it is, and that's why the government are comfortable gradually easing restrictions - with understandable caution. One important point to be made however is that when you say "every group as yet unvaccinated is not at risk", the &...

So I had a call today from someone the GP has put onto my case, and I appreciate they're trying to offer me help but I kind of was a bit confused on what exactly they're offering and wasn't usre what to say, and somehow the conversation ended with them saying they'll give me time to think about it a...

So I've been unemployed for quite some time now, and the job centre has me working with a third party service for support/advice/training to try and help me get a job. On a call with my advisor yesterday, she asked me to make a call to a recruitment agency to follow up on some applications I hadn't ...

I didn't really intend it to be taken so harshly, but I admit I could have been more considerate in the way I said it. As for what it is to me what you watch... well, you do keep using youtube videos to back up your points. That, however, doesn't tell the entirety of what makes up your particular ad...

Really a testament to the types of youtube holes you've been falling into that those are the kinds of ads you get.

A bit of an oversimplification I guess. I have strong socialist sympathies and have a bit of an "in an ideal world" attitude toward it. I lean more democratic socialist in practical terms, but I also acknowledge I haven't read enough socalist thought to really make a strong judgement of it.

The fuck are you talking about? I'm a fucking socialist. I just don't like this weird, reactionary, conspiracy-minded hole you've been falling down for months now. If someone dies of Covid-19, say they died of Covid-19. If someone dies of something else, say that. Be honest. This would be just as mi...

"It's impossible to know whether they would have died without Covid, or if they would have lived if they hadn't got it, so we should assume the first one and let the virus run wild." Thanks, peter.
