Well, we've got the furry spider pacman things in the courtyard, but I didn't originally count that because she walked into it eyes wide open, with help just for the occasion. You mean when she shattered a glass from afar? I forgot about that one. I think it shouldn't count. Gereden "rescuing&...

Looks nervously around. :ct13: :ct14:  'What's the definition? What's the definition??' My thinking is whenever Terisa is doomed until someone comes to her rescue. Simple enough, right? All right, let's go over IrrationalSanity examples. that's a good way to clarify this: Let's see w...

I know King Joyce enlarged the castle to deal with administering his new kingdom instead of his former small fiefdom. He also changed parts of the (actual) dungeons into the Congery section. With all the secret passages honeycombing through Orison the building might be weaker than it looks.

Oh, right. I knew dungeons was the wrong word but wasn't sure what the appropriate word for the underground levels was. Didn't want to call it cellars. By the way, do the descriptions of these dump lower levels mean Orison was gradually buried as more and more was built or sank over time under it's ...

Artagel and Eremis are mirror images in some ways. Artagel the poster-boy good guy enjoys playing the villain on rare occasions (*) though as he says it's merely skin deep. The guards' easy laughter as soon as they recognize him tells us as much. Likewise Eremis finds it immensely amusing to fool ev...

I'm not so sure. Elega is a political shark but can she bloody her own hands. That's a bit different.

Behind the brown, he looked like a cross between a turnip and a fence post. Surely I can't be the only reader who has trouble visualizing this description of Minick! Rough features that indicate his hard work around Housledom are likely part of it. His wife saw his inner beauty despite his tu...

Throughout the books I felt Elega's vision was too narrow. Joyce, Myste, most of the main actors are visionaries. (I include Eremis in this list though his is a dark and repulsive vision.) Elega on the other hand approaches things conventionally. While Myste is so caught up in her visions she almost...
