The Eye of the Paradox
Hey I just posted an essay I wrote about the First and Second Chronicles in the Hall of Gifts. It's long, and academic (read:dry) but if you're interested, check it out. Comment on it here, or in the Hall. PS In my noobishness, I am unable to figure out how to link it here. I'd put the URL but anywh...

"The Eye of the Paradox"
Foreword: This is an essay I recently wrote for my religious studies paper proposing a (kinda unorthodox) reading of the first two Chronicles of Thomas Covenant trilogies. For those who do not know via affirmativa and negativa, they are spiritual techniques for achieving union/enlightenment/god-cons...

To the family, friends and loved ones of Furl Falls
I feel very hesitant posting on this thread. I did not know Furl Falls and do not know any of you yet. This is obviously a very personal topic, and I hope no-one feels that a stranger is invading their privacy. But I feel compelled to share with you how deeply moved I have been by everything I have ...

Not to dis new zealand, but NYS alone has over 6000 square miles of protected park area...actual wild areas, Central Park, NYC doesn't count. [NZ as a nation has just shy of 12,000 square miles.] The difference, of course, is that NZ will probably KEEP theirs protected. And the people are nicer. I ...

The Malvern Hills in England were beautiful, but there were less trees than I pictured in Andelain. Also, from the top you looked out on farmland, not wilderness. Failing that, come to New Zealand! I know we already claimed Middle Earth, but we have many national parks where development has always b...

Thanks guys. One question. I have an essay I wrote on the first and second Chronicles for university. My lecturer liked it, got a decent mark, but I'd like to hear what the Covenant fans think. It's 3000 words long, though, which seems way too hefty to dump in a normal post. Is there somewhere that ...

Hello!
Hi everyone, one more newbie on the Watch, looking out over the panorama of warm communal fandom.
I urge almost everyone I meet to read Donaldson, but I meet disappointingly few who got there before me. This would seem to be the place for me.
See you around!
