I'm an RPG freak. When you get a PS2, get FF X. In fact, anything done by SquareSoft is good. Some good PS1 RPGs: Chrono Cross, Star Ocean 3, Lunar 2, The Breath of Fire series, even heard Dragon Warrior VII is out. Speaking of Dragon Warrior, it looks like Unix and Square are merging Square is goi...

Wow. :D The ideas you've got so far sound good. I like the idea of intercutting the rape scene with scenes from the Ritual of Desecration/the final battle at Kurash Plenethor. This would definitely be one long flick if it comes to fruition, but if they held true to your screenplay, I think it would ...

Jones: The Book of Words trilogy and The Sword of Shadows trilogy - Sean Russell: The Swan's War trilog...

This is from The Encyclopedia of Eastern Philosophy and Religion : Ahamkara (Hindu), Sanskrit; ego, I-consciousness, a part of the antahkarana , the inner organ, which gives rise to all mental processes. Ahamkara is the motivator of thought that creates the notion that one is a unique entity separa...

Glad to hear that Whelan will be doing the new covers. I really like the stuff I've seen him do in the past. Sweet seems to be constitutionally incapable of drawing a cover that actually reflects anything from the books. I've got old copies of the Chronicles that I picked up at a secondhand bookstor...

Very well said.Fist and Faith wrote:Everything we do is done in the shadow of death. Consciously or not, everything is done with it in mind. Recklessness is in the face of death, and patience is in defiance of it. We would be entirely different, as individuals and as a species, without death looming over us.

The other thing to note is that building a raft to carry all of them might have _taken_ those four days... did any of them have appropriate tools along? Hatchets? Rope? And do _you_ want to be the one cutting down trees in Andelain? Not to mention, what if a desert sun had come along during that ti...

I've been suckered into being a WoT fan simply because it was the first big fantasy series I read. As a result, I want to see how it ends. Plus, in spite of it's problems, Jordan still had a somewhat decent story and interesting characters. A shame some of his more recent books have been crap.-jay ...
