Allright, I'll be starting my trip to New England in one month from now... I think I need to know who's where and when, so I can organize things as much as possible, since I won't be traveling alone and I'm not sure whether my companions will want to do something else while I meet Watchers :D

Between my unscheduled trip to Italy due to my aunt's passing and my studying for the european business competence license, I haven't been able to process much thus far... however, the exam is done, so now I should go faster.

The photo links provided above by Xar are interesting to be sure. My only real complaint comes from the idea that the tone of the realm of Asgardian gods would have more in comon with that depicted in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films. I believed that approach would give a much needed gravita...

With Comic-Con occurring this week, Marvel Studios is expected to release a lot of stuff regarding Thor, and to a lesser degree, stuff regarding Captain America. In the meantime, however, a few more stills for Thor have appeared: Odin's throne hall, complete with Thor, Loki, Frigga, Fandral and Hogu...

I think the problem is that I'm with a friend, so we need to organize the itinerary jointly, and with seven days at our disposal, we won't be able to see everything we want, anyway. Ideally we would like to visit Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, since they're not that far away and we would rent a car...

I think it's a long shot, but just out of curiosity - is anyone here on the Watch attending or working at the New Jersey Medical School? I'll be giving a talk there on September 20...

Wow, Xar -- it's a harmonic convergence for sure... ;) It's kinda fun, isn't it? :D I'll have about one week to travel around before the conference begins, after which I'll be more or less stationed in San Diego. But since I'm still working on the itinerary for that first week, it doesn't hurt to f...

Xar's (also) coming to California!

I'm all over the place! :D Apart from my trip to New England in September, I'll also visit California in the first half of November, spending about one week in San Diego for a conference and another week driving around and seeing the sights. So, which Watchers am I to meet this time? :D

You mean more complicated than people sprinkling their DRPs around to every other deity like they were flower petals, forcing me to double-check all submissions to make sure that X did indeed give Y DRPs to Z? In the system outlined for P4 I wouldn't care less about who owes what favor to whom; it'd...

Then again, it's merely a matter of semantics. As for Menolly's comment about disliking the inability to send power to whoever one wants... where exactly is the problem, if you can still swap favors and use your power to help the other deity? Considering that you won't have that much divine power i...

If i'll be able to chose my court i'll be much happier. I think at two or more players that want to create a court similar to the egyptian one... scattering them on the map and forcing them to be in a different court won't allow such kind of Role Play Hook. So i think we should allow the players to...

You overlook the fact that almost any country - including all Western countries, AFAIK - have bans on going around with full-face masks in public places due to identification issues. This law is, to a certain extent, a clarification that the previously mentioned ban applies also to burqas and simila...

I guess it's kind of hard to put across what comes to mind when I'm thinking of the Pantheons matching up, in a sense. Think of it less as Zeus and Hades sharing a Pantheon, and more like having Athena and Cronos thrown together. One is a civilised, city-oriented type of god, while the other is mor...

Pantheons, even in the real world, are rarely if ever composed entirely of deities with the same ethical outlook. Take the Hindu pantheon of deities: in terms of our morality, we would define deities such as Kali or avatars such as Kalkin to be evil and destructive, while perhaps deities such as Shi...

Are you willing to make note if players choose to tell you that overall they are totally dissatisfied with the Court system? And would prefer they be done away with entirely? Even if they play within it? ... just sayin' . Sure, but overall it seems to me that people appreciate the need for Courts a...

I've been tinkering with the rules of P4 to solve a few kinks (it's a hobby ;) ). In the process, I gathered all the comments from this thread and tried to see whether the current P4 rules solve them or not. This in turn has led to certain ideas I had not anticipated. Again, I should point out that ...

Turn 18 - Spring Argothoth , the Ancient One, rises again from the shards of his previous existence! The Bleeds , vast expanses of searingly frigid light which blind the gazes of the gods, have appeared in the Shylan desert, eastern Nocturna and central Shaldir! O-gon-cho and her Radiant Ones stem ...

A player has been very unlucky this turn, and since life has a habit of kicking you where it hurts, to top it all, he/she has been defeated in a struggle AND has had a Prophet killed by unrelated events (those pesky adventurers...).
