woa woa woa alrite, i no muh dad duz not lyke KISS at all, but come on man! is it just me or duz KISS totaly rock, u dont hafta be a heavy speed metal band to look like KISS duz. i gotta admit at first I thought KISS was gonna be ya no, lyke a heavy metal thingy, and yea I heard their songs and i was kinda surprised, but not dissapointed. my opinion? KISS is the bee's knees. lol

I don't like the music of KISS, personally, but their flash, delirious machismo, and complete unpretentiousness (their name means "Keep it simple, stupid") were a sorely needed antidote to a decade's worth of Serious Artists and Deep Meaning.

I never could embrace anything KISS has done...I think it was all their pyrotechnic stage shows and aggressive marketing that got them as far as they got.

Beth was the only song from them I ever really liked. And listening to it now and paying attention to the lyrics - dumb.

In my grade school in the 70's, there was a distinct line drawn in the sand between Queen fans and KISS fans. I was firmly on the side of Queen. But the face painting booths usually had KISS faces for the boys, so I'd be the kitty drummer guy. There is no denying their showmanship, however. They took stagecraft to a new level, along with Alice Pooper and Ozzy.
