WOW! I put Cosmos in my top list, too!!! Sagan was a childhood hero of mine and I read his book of the show at least 10 times!
Well since others have listed now defunct selections I will indulge likewise. You will find that all of my top 5 selections are entertainment based programs although I find Biography, NOVA, Anything on the Discovery Wings Channel and Antiques Roadshow very entertaining and informative.
1. The Simpsons
2. Futurama
3. The X-Files
4. Star Trek TOS
5. Seinfeld

Unless the criteria is refined further, I guess anything goes when listing "Top 5 Shows." Whatever. Lists are fun. What separates humans from apes is our astonishing ability to list stuff!
What about you top 5 shows when you were just a little kid?
Mine would have to be teenage mutant ninja turtles (I was raphael and my dad was Michaellangelo ), captain planet, salute your shorts, batman and the simpsons
Yeah, I liked the Turtles too... Also Thundercats, Mask (where did that get to? I miss the flying cars)...I don't remember much else. The Simpsons was only on Sky when I was a kid, and we didn't (and don't) have Sky.
