What now from SRD????
I have finished the new novellas and really enjoyed them both. The Augur's Gambit was the better of the two, I think. Now my SRD hunger has kicked in again.
Anyone have any hint of what the Master Wordsmith may be working on now?
Hungry... so very hungry.

He goes on to say that's only a working title. But I am fascinated by any character Donaldson would name "Meltman". The use of "decimate" as a noun, the fact of their being seven of them, and the uppercase letters are all mysteries to savor.Stephen R Donaldson, in his latest e-mail blast, wrote:I've been writing a short novel I call "Meltman's SEVENTH DECIMATE."

new work
Wayfriend,
Thanks for the info, although it increases the pain of not having any new SRD to read.
Meltman??? Strange. THE SEVENTH DECIMATE seems too big and ominous next to the name Meltman. Doesn't fit. On purpose?
Also, does this represent a trend for SRD? I.e., emphasis on shorter works? Is SRD old enough or in ill-heath enough to worry about not being able to complete a longer, multi-volume work? Of course, I love his shorter fiction almost as much as his longer works, so no down side for me. Just curious.
