Just finished. Awesome book. Many great moments. I love anything involving Seguleh, so Rell was my favourite and the duel with Iron Bars was awesome.

I just have one thing to say about Mallick Rell. When is somebody going to KILL him???

Can't get enough Seguleh, read Orb, Scepter,Throne. As for Mallick Rell, I'm hoping for a battle of wits with Tehol.

Yup, Seguleh are awesome!

Tehol would think and talk circles around Mallick, though.

(One "l" in Rel for Mallick, two in Rell the renegade Seguleh. :D)

So...based on the info in RotCG, did Mallick Rel (heh, thanks Onos), really beat Laseen? Or did he get lucky? Or did she pull a Kellanved/Dancer on everyone?

Also, must note I really enjoyed the character arc of Sergeant Jumpy. Got to witness the forging of a Malazan veteran sergeant. Very cool.

That would be a lot of fun to watch. Personally, I wish Tehol had become the Malazan Emperor...

I always interpreted it as Laseen being done in for reals. Maybe Shadowthrone and Cotillion will avenge her, maybe Mallick Rel will continue ruling the Malazan Empire to a ripe old age. That guy's a slippery one.

Agree with Orlion. That's the end of Laseen. And since Shadow-Throne wanted revenge on her himself, I don't know if he would revenge her.

That's not to say he'll like Rel though. :D

Iron Bars duel is one of my favourite scenes in the whole series. And yes, OST for the Segulah.

Also, its should be noted that Shadowthrone probably does not care about the Malazan Empire anymore. He has bigger fish to fry.

Just reread this. Holy cow, so much happens! Big, important things.
Big, important characters gone. Excellent book.
