Pink Floyd Touring

Post by Worm of Despite »

Dave and Roger are getting together with some of their veteran back-up players from Sound of Thunder tour and The Division Bell!! They'll be playing Dark Side of the Moon (in its entirety), as well as a selection of old favorites in 50 shows in the States, and if it goes well there'll be a world tour.

This may be your last chance to see Pink Floyd (or what's left of it) together.

Foul, if it wasn't for that video (and/or videos like it), you'd never have been conceived.

But ya know, when you really think about it, I don't think I'd pay to see Floyd unless it was the whole kabang. And damn, I forgot Nick Mason was still alive. That's a bit of an oversight, yeah!?

Best shot we had at a reunion tour was after the Live 8 concert a couple years back. Even with Rick Wright being gone, I'd pay to see Waters/Gilmour/Mason do a 3-hour Pink Floyd show.

Only got to see them once live and that was after Waters left. I was at the opposite end of a huge stadium, so I could barely even see the stage. It was still awesome! :)

This seemed as good a place as any for this:

Got a message from a friend that Mason [fun fact, the only member to be on ALL the Floyd albums I was told. I hope it's a fact. My memory says it's true]
has put together a band to play the old stuff, before DSOM. Apparently they've done some well-received shows in England, and have some Euro dates scheduled.

the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.
