Fantastic Beasts film series

Post by Menolly »

I'm jumping straight to the current release, The Crimes of Grindlewald. I have not seen the movie yet, but I hear there is a canonical cliffhanger at the end of the film.

We can discuss it here, but I'm going to request we use spoiler tags for awhile. I usually don't mind spoilers, but in this case, I really do want to be surprised, if possible.

I finally saw this yesterday. There is a lot to process in this film. I will definitely need to see it again, not to mention get a hold of the screen play to basically dissect it scene by scene.

Two things off the top of my head...
Spoiler
Who is Letitia saying "I love you" to towards the end of the film? My guess is to both brothers.

And, Queenie is breaking my heart. I can understand why she made the choice she did, but canon already says the choice she made is doomed, nu?

I liked it, but it almost had too much plot driving it, like the last few seasons of Lost. It only occasionally seemed like there was any character development, which was a pity.
Spoiler
Yeah, Queenie was one of my favorite characters in the original, and she seemed like she went against her character's nature in the latest flick.

But I really like what they are getting to with this. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Spoiler
Queenie's choices sort of qualify as character evolution, if not development, nu?
