Mahogany Sessions

Post by deer of the dawn »

As I have said before, I live under a rock as far as pop culture exposure goes-- a rock in West Africa, no less-- so I come late to most of the games. On my latest airplane ride I "discovered" Mahogany Sessions and was like, where has this been all my life?

I love several things about it.

The stripped-down sound, with emphasis on vocal expression.

Amazing production values, especially for live (or live-ish) performances, some of which take place outdoors.

And, I'm kind of in need of the anti-frenetic mood of the videos I saw, most of which were extremely calm and slightly dreamy in tone.
