BTW, for Floyd fans... Roger Waters is touring next spring. Supposedly will be singing a lot of old Floyd songs, along with a lot of his own music.

I saw The Wall tour he did a couple years ago and the production value was just mind boggling. Such an epic show. Sure, his voice isn't what it once was (and it never was all that great), but he put on a hell of a show.

I've never seen Pink Floyd live, but I once saw a Roger Waters show in Phoenix in the year 2000, and thought it was entertaining. That show ended up getting recorded for part of the "In The Flesh" love album. I think I can hear one of my enthusiastic screams during a quiet part of "It's A Miracle".

SCARECROW
(Written by Syd Barrett)

The black and green scarecrow as everyone knows
Stood with a bird on his hat
and straw everywhere...
he didn't care!

He stood in a field where barley grows

His head did no thinking, his arms didn't move
Except when the wind, cut up rough and mice
ran around on the ground

He stood in a field where barley grows

The black and green scarecrow is sadder than me
But now he's resigned to his fate
'Cause life's not unkind
He doesn't mind

He stood in a field where barley grows...

Saw Nick Mason and his Saucerful of Secrets when he was in my state. Absolutely fantastic, even if he almost killed the audience with his intense version of "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun".
'Tis dream to think that Reason can
Govern the reasoning creature, man.
- Herman Melville

I am Lazarus, come from the dead,
Come back to tell you all, I shall tell you all!

"All creation is a huge, ornate, imaginary, and unintended fiction; if it could be deciphered it would yield a single shocking word."
