For you Anime buffs - has anyone seen Miyazaki's Spirited Away? I like some Anime - Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Metropolis are all very noteworthy - but I'm not a hard core fan. And this one is my new favorite! I rented it for the kids and then just couldn't tear myself away....I was absolutely enchanted! There's a lovely dream-like quality to it that's hard for me to describe.....it's like I dreamed that place when I was a small child.....it felt eerily familiar. And the boundless creativity of the characters was mind-blowing! Yubaba and the Boiler Man, and the little charcoal guys and No Face were all so wonderfully bizarre. All in all a stupendously lovely jewel of a film. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to have their imagination challenged, anime fan or not.
And now I really want to find Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service.

I have only heard good reports so far about Spirited Away...must remember to take it home to watch one of these nights. I do enjoy some anime but don't get the time to watch much of it anymore
