Although blighted by a certain sense of existential despair, this was no ordinary chicken. Not for this chicken the acceptance that this was her lot. Oh no. No siree. This chicken was that rarest of birds, the 'glass half full' kind of chicken.
The kind of chicken that was prepared to cluck "damn it all!" and just roll the dice! A chicken who was prepared to take her chances in the greater world!
The kind of chicken who believed there might just be a brighter future and improved grain supplies on the other side of that road.
You don't see chickens like that very often. God bless that chicken. We salute her and cross the road in her honour.

Good lord
But its ALL about the journey, no? Bad ass chooks know this ... and make the treacherous journey across the road to the other side to BECOME the bad asses they were always destined to be. Its a coming of age thing.

As any description of the event 'crossing' is entirely relative (dependent upon the choice of reference frame used to describe it), it is possible to envisage a set of co-ordinates from the point of view of the road in which the chicken is virtually static.
From this basis if the road possessed any non-trivial velocity, the road would would in effect be crossing the chicken.
This only adds to the initial confusion. If there is no such thing as universal time how can any firm definitions of spatial measurement be employed?
What does the concept 'measurement' mean to an infinitesimally low velocity chicken?

bloated by a certain sense of existential despair, this was no ordinary ninja. No! for this ninja the acceptance that this was her allotment. This ninja was that rarest of warriors, the 'holy hand grenade' kind of ninja.
The kind of ninja that was prepared to mutter "damn it all!" and just roll the dominoes! A ninja who was prepared to take her chances in the greater world!
The kind of ninja who believed there might just be a brighter future and improved ronin supplies on the other side of that road.

An ibex (plural ibex, ibexes or ibices)
is any of several species of wild goat
(genus Capra), distinguished by the
male's large recurved horns, which
are transversely ridged in front. Ibex
are found in Eurasia, North Africa and
East Africa. The name ibex comes from
Latin, borrowed from Iberian or Aquitanian,
akin to Old Spanish bezerro "bull", modern
Spanish becerro "yearling". Ranging in
height from 70 to 110 centimetres
(27Γ’β¬β43 in) and weighing 90 to 120
kilograms (200Γ’β¬β270 lb), ibex can live
20 years. Two closely related varieties
of goats found in the wild are not usually
called ibex: the markhor and the feral goat.
