New Publisher for Donaldson?

Post by Mr.Land »

Ran across this listing for The Killing God.
https://www.bookdepository.com/Last-Rep ... 1473221741
Lists the U.K. publisher as Orion with a pub date of Oct. 14, 2020.

Legit?

I am pretty sure that Orion was the publisher for the first two books in TGGW. (As well as for several of his earlier books. I have a ROTE published by Gollanz, a subsidiary of Orion.)

The issues he mentioned in his News page are limited to his American publisher only.

I think.

That's interesting. You're right, though, he did just refer to Berkely on the website. So his UK publisher is going ahead while the American publisher is refusing to publish. Still hoping Steve can work something out, but glad to hear (hopefully) that a book will still be available through Orion.

By the way, Wayfriend, I really appreciate your Rush quote.

Thanks. I find it very Last-Chronically. (This much.)

Bravo Wayfriend! (although I'm a bit late to the party) What a beautiful and well-thought out explanation of the Haruchai way of thinking as told through the 10 books. As a librarian I approve of citing your sources. I wonder if Neil was aware of the Covenant books and what he would have thought of them. Still no Killing God news. I feel fortunate that both Peart and Donaldson were (are) so authentic and gave us so much for so long. They are gifts that keep on giving.[/i]

Damn! That was a good read.
I don't know how I missed this post back in 2014.
I thought I understood the Haruchai as l was reading the books but I was only skimming the surface it seems.

Thanks!

Amazon.uk now has a Oct. 13 2022 date listed for The Killing God; a year later than was indicated a few months back. This can't be good news. Perhaps Gollanz is getting cold feet.
