Sky, you are welcome here anytime. We're in the Seattle suburbs; just let us know when you expect to make the hop and we'll PM you our contact information.

She just started a whole milk batch this morning, so it should be strained and spoon-ready by the end of the week.

bah!
It'll be ready tomorrow night or Thursday morning at the latest.

Sky, get yourself an Instant Pot, and I'll coach you through making it yourself.

Instant Pot (the blue letters are a link) is a Canadian-made mutifunction cooker that serves as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, bread riser/proofer, and several other functions. It makes hard-boiled eggs that peel cleanly with almost no effort.

We own two which are used frequently, and Menolly has a non-revenue hobby of teaching folks (singly and in groups) all the things it can do.

She also gave Dam-et one for Yule. He normally takes instruction about as well as one would expect from a 24 year-old, but Dam-sel and I were amazed at how he paid attention to the half-day tutorial she gave him before he took it back to Uni.

From what I have read, you may have to order an IP from amazon UK to get one in Oz. But, I don't know for certain.

Right now, I'm eating slices of Aged Swiss cheese, because the flavor manages to both soothe me and wake me up a bit.

Nothing right now ;)

I've been dieting but I was out a couple of hours ago and splurged having a couple over easy eggs and corned beef hash.

I don’t usually eat breakfast, but during Passover I indulge in the once-a-year β€œtreats.” This morning I’ll make matzah meal based cream of wheat for breakfast, and finish off my piece of the banana and pear matzah brei bake I made for Easter brunch yesterday.

Interesting πŸ‘Œ I’m not familiar with Jewish traditional food or American traditional food for that matter lol πŸ˜‚

I mean we eat hamburgers, hot dogs etc but a lot of the things you, Ali, SD, Luci mention are delightful mysteries to me.

A cranberry and linseed granola bar.

I'm not one for breakfast really...if the GF doesn't harass me to eat something in the morning, I probably won't until well after noon. And now that I work from home, I no longer have to choke down something at 05h30 to make it through the day so it's easier to forget about eating. :D
