Peter Banks and Tony Kaye went on to form Flash. Tony rejoined Yes from '82-'94, but Banks never did, and now he's passed, so he never will. I saw them last year, and the only one who sounded like a replacement was Davdison, but that's to be expected, and he did a great job.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

I remember that at both Yes shows that I saw, Chris Squire was the one who showed the most enthusiasm bantering with the crowd and performing the music. I'm sad he's gone, as I consider him the heart and soul of Yes.

I really had a craving to hear this song today. I find it exciting, sparkling, and a thoroughly joyous ride.

YOURS IS NO DISGRACE
(Written by Chris Squire, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Tony Kaye, Bill Bruford)

Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer change to winter, yours is no disgrace

Battleships confide in me and tell me where you are,
Shining, flying, purple wolfhound, show me where you are,
Lost in summer, morning, winter, travel very far,
Lost in musing circumstances, that's just where you are

Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer change to winter, yours is no,
Yours is no disgrace
Yours is no disgrace
Yours is no disgrace

Death defying, mutilated armies scatter the earth,
Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals,
Their morals disappear

Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human, silly human, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer change to winter, yours is no,
Yours is no disgrace
Yours is no disgrace
Yours is no disgrace

Battleships confide in me and tell me where you are,
Shining, flying, purple wolfhound, show me where you are,
Lost in summer, morning, winter, travel very far,
Lost in musing circumstances, that's just where you are

I'm glad this epic band finally got recognition in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was long overdue!

Alrighty, then.
For my friends living in the future, such as StevieG or Skyweir in Oz, or anyone in New Zealand...

I'm getting "video not available" when I click on this, but I've seen posters in New Zealand claim they've gotten to see it and they're raving. I would love a first hand report. I wasn't impressed with Heaven and Earth, but maybe the current line up is finally gelling in the studio.

I can see this video. I haven't listened to it all as yet. I don't really know much of Yes, so probably can't comment beyond the beginning sounding like 80s - Foreigner or something.

So far it sounds like it builds into the song quite well - I imagine they are pretty good at that. Sounds fairly easy listening with a focus on keyboards and guitars.

Thanks, StevieG!

The video did become available here in the States on Friday. As a Yes fan I find it...meh. Oh, the musicianship is still amazing, and Davison fills in for Anderson adequately. But, it would be better with Anderson's vocals, and lyrical input, IMO.

The main problem for me is that I really, really, really miss Squire's intricate vocal harmonies. Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about that. Except for maybe Geddy Lee of Rush, I doubt there are many amazing bass players who could harmonize with lovely tone higher than Jon Anderson's or Jon Davison's vocals, which is what Chris Squier did.
