Factototum

Adrenaline

she measures out
the tedious routine
of her daily life.

synchronized with
an atomic clock.
she is sun-mad,
her brood in tow.
candy and gasoline.

Dopamine

radiation under her skin,
poisons her only soul.
her plasticine smile
makes her teeth ache.

her days a kinetic blur.
she stampers through
the afterglow of dusk.

Oxytocine

her headache thunders
through her empty skull.
the taste of aluminum
and chalk on her tongue.
spill spiderwebs of rust.

her choice? poison vial
or asp. vine leaves in
her hair. vermillion wasps
nesting in her charms.

Serotonin

she locks herself away
in a Faraday cage by
night. passive doppler
engaged. ultraviolet.

should you rescue
a woman from the
mountains, make sure...
1) she isn't your daughter.
2) she isn't your wife.
3) she hasn't been raised
by defective robots.
