Well done.

Anyone else picturing the Wizard of Oz as the Munchkins emerge from hiding to laugh and sing over the still warm corpse of the witch?

And no one bit it off.

Someone else who lives under a rock.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Maaan... so there was this time my husband's parents took everyone camping. In one of the information centers, his brother found a book titled, I kid you not, "Girls who look under rocks." Also, I kid you not, he pointed it out and asked me, "Is that how you found him?" (But that's not quite the same; the characterization fits far better than even that anecdote indicates!)

I'm guessing Atomic will get auto-notified and respond with alacrity, just like a prairie dog that's been alerted to come to the top of its hole. (He doesn't live under a rock!)
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

Everyone's been living between a rock and a hard place for two years. A little extra paranoia couldn't hurt.

Someone else who managed to move aside the rock.

What if you weren't fine with it? What then? Just weirdly curious.

Someone less weird or more curious.

Bring the alcoholic music! Not to me. I don't drink. Or play an instrument. Or sing. But somebody!
