Episode 5 was absolutely amazing! I didn't think I'd love any series more than "The Mandalorian" but wow, this show is so freaking good!

The Vader parts were good but the point of his fight with Reven was ridiculous.
And the blast doors are locked with a piece of metal?
lol

And what was the point of the flashback?
Vader is reckless?
OK.
How did that play into this episode?
How was Vader reckless and how did ObiWan use it to his advantage?
I missed that whole thing.

I also can't get over how dumb entire the Leia story line is.
The actress is cute and does a good job but the reason she's in this is ridiculous.
She was about to be tortured to find out information about the rebellion??
She's like 9 or 10.

And she knows how to fix the problem with the launch doors?
Sure, ok, why not?
I can't wait to see her use the Force to save the day in the last episode. <sarcasm>

Knowing Annakin was reckless, Obi-wan set a trap that Vader would walk into. But Vader had apparently learned the lesson, so the trap failed.

And you're complaining about things pskple have always complained about. The cute element. Ewoks, Jar Jar, little Leia. I'm not Arguing withyou. But that stuff's just a part of Star Wars.

Well after watching the season finale of Obi-wan Kenobi and fully digesting the separate components of the entire story I have to say I am pleased. Because of the slower paced, series approach to storytelling there were moments that seemed clumsy, misguided or simply uninteresting however those low points did not detract enough to spoil my overall enjoyment of the series. If the six episodes were edited to a concise, cinematic, 2 hour film it could possibly be viewed with as much fan appreciation as Rouge One or higher. It nearly qualifies as Episode 3.1 and Rogue One 3.2, provided there is no further exploration of the time between Episodes 3 and 4.
The season finale provided a number of genuinely memorable moments that will stay with me for as long as I am a fan of Star Wars.

I just...
I don't even know what to say.
lol
This whole series was just dumb from beginning to end.
Pointless.
Plot points that ruin New Hope.
Writing that makes no sense.
"Have you come to destroy me, Obi-Wan?" What the FUCK??
How did Reva survive getting stabbed by Vader at the Jedi Temple?
How did Reva survive getting stabbed by Vader a second time and then continue with no signs of injury????
How did the Grand Inquisitor survive getting stabbed by Reva?
How did Reva know where Luke was and know he was in any way important?
What was she going to do when she got Luke, bring him to Vader and then try to kill Vader again?????
It's like...a group of monkeys typed this story out and Disney signed off on it.

Didn't the Star Destroyer have a tractor beam? Tie-fighters?
Why did Vader let Obi-Wan survive?
Why did Obi-Wan let Vader survive when he had him beaten?
He let a fucking SITH LORD survive!!!!!

I know, he has to survive to continue to be in the saga but did anyone who even know or like Star Wars make this shit story?
Why write the script to even let this scene happen??????????

Leia gets a holster and everyone acts like it's the fucking holy grail? Sure, why the fuck not at this point?

The pointless lightsaber battle was ok I guess but the sabers didn't even sound right!

Did anyone see the fan edit and additions made for Obi-Wan and Vader's New Hope fight?
It was a 1000 times better.
And made freaking 3 or 4 years ago!

So then. One for, one against.

I agree with both. The stabbings she survived, with no apparent after effects. The sheer stupidity of the garbage truck out running the Star Destroyer. No tractor beam??? Or maybe they could have hit the ship with a couple more of those 3,000 shots? I'm not as concerned with Obi-Wan letting Vader live as with Vader letting Obi-Wan live. I can see Obi-Wan just not being able to do it. No excuse for Vader, though.

And yes, the format allowed things to go more slowly, to have more of a story and development. In that sense, it was all worth it.

Watching Obi-Wan pick up all those boulders and throw them was really awesome.

Yes, HLT, that's an excellent fight! I wish they'd had a lot more of that in the movies. They should have, and did not. Particularly the original three. Not happy with the last three either. Darth Maul was the best thing that ever happened Star Wars, Imo. Nothing beats his fights.

I've been very disappointed with the Jedi's use of their powers at almost all stages. Mace In the original Clone Wars short cartoons was the best ever. But Obi-Wan in the Revenge of the Sith book was the best. Just incredible.

Lightsabers cauterize wounds. That explains the stabbings, anyway.

I am accustomed to Disney Plus series having Idiotic elements, plot holes and canon shattering disregard for past incarnations of existing IP. If course most of my distain comes from their MCU series but by way of Star Wars only the Book of Bobba Fett has made enough critical errors to reduce my enjoyment.

I therefore choose to focus on the positive whenever possible.

As long as the positive outweighs the negative. I don't mean the moments of consistent writing have to outweigh the plotholes. I mean the parts that you cheer have to outweigh the bad. We've all discussed flaws in SRD's writing. But the glory far outweighs the problems. (At least for the 1st and 2nd.) Not sure it does for Obi-wan. But they're short episodes, so the ratio is good enough.
