RIP Cagliostro

Post by Savor Dam »

Copied from a post by his sister Jennifer on Facebook:
“My heart has joined the Thousands, for my friend stopped running today.

Rest in Power my dear brother…
While not unexpected, this is sad news.

I've read and enjoyed Cag's posts for a long time, more than my acknowledged tenure on the Watch, having been a long-time lurker before I joined. I also met him in person at the 2011 Elohimfest and again at the 2014 Elohimfest. Apart from his taste for sketchy liquor (liquid chicken???), he was fine company and will be missed.

Hail Cagliostro!

I didn't interact with Cagliostro a lot when I attended Elohimfest 2014 in Albuquerque, but when I did, I found him to be a pleasant and fun-loving person.

It has been an honor to serve with him as co-moderator of the Gap forum.

I hope wherever he is, he is experiencing joy in abundance, now and forevermore.

I never met Cags in person, but we were friends on Facebook. I'm glad I got a chance to say goodbye to him and he to me, even if it was over Messenger
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I re-read a lot of Cags posts these last few months.

I can only pray I face my end with as much dignity and class as he did.

I shall toast him tonight with my evening drink.
