unknown & untitled

the backwards man, laughter
echoes in the early distance.
grafting wires, pitched jolts of
distant sound. thunder in your
head. strange lights. blood and
brick. tasting the sour copper.

the pale man, a dark and hidden
set of the periodic table. a sea of
instability and radioactive decay.
so hang your charred bones outside
the outer gate. and calibrate your
new compass. surrey your lodestone.

the folk-hero man. lost in the grey.
cracks in the pavement, under your
shoes. a ghost light. the quiet bright
silence of snow. low buzzing of neon.
miles of current, a cold rain of sparks.
a poem committed to finite memory.

the math man, a broken zero. a name
in ancient scripture. one last lumbering
dance. funhouse mirrors curve, then
shatter. left for the crows. your hollow
promise. parliament is out. odd lights.
beauty is ruin. low aether appeasement.

the tooth fairy man. has bone and gristle.
blood and bone. row upon row. insomnia
made of bone and rot. not stopping with
the sunrise. the sky is grey and stays that
way. a penny for a tooth a pound for the,

the lemon green man. under a distant sun,
under a cold, magnetic sun. the ghost light
burning. the empty sun wobbles westward.
the winter sun, a brilliant white. an empty
white circle. the first snowfall falls. of snow
squalls and snow drifts, a time-in in-between,
Lenin, Marx
Marx, Lennon
Good Dog...
