How I miss that learned and rational voice on these pages. I hope our loss is somebody else's gain.
But it seems unfair to single out individual players - The Watch in its heyday was a wonderful thing to have been a part of, but I say this not really even knowing if I was a part of it at this time?
I joined what - twelve, fourteen years ago? Was this its high point in terms of vibrancy and breadth of topics covered? Always seems so to me, but perhaps the best had already been and gone?
