Hi, I'm looking for help to find the source or the root of the word 'amanibhavam' I know it's context in the books but does anyone know where our beloved author got it from or is it something of his own design. Considering the rich religious iconography of the books I suspect it has religious origins or conetations in it's original form. Well, I looked for awhile, but could find nothing definite. A couple of possibilities: man=mane (of a horse)? havam=close spelling of haven (place of safety)? I'm sure someone can do better.

Given SRD's Indian background, and the sound of the word, I'm guessing that the source is a Hindi or Sanskrit word.
If you search the web for bhavam you will find that it is a name common in India, and also appears in some Hindu scriptures.
I don't know about amani though.
